Read the Zombie Survival guide on my kindle, absolutely great book.
Now reading World War Z, pretty good so far.

I got bored with the survival book. It's almost factual and totally boring.

WWZ is really good.
i was totally immersed in it after a couple of chapters.
the whole Yonkers bit was great.ZSG was meant to be factual (after reading it i bought a wrecking bar...)
i liked that aspect.
im prepared for the Zombie Uprising -

Yeah but most of the book is based on shit we already know

Walking dead starts up again on the 23rd Feb.. I think I saw this in an ad last night
I saw La Horde on Sunday. Not too bad, fairly brutal but was hoping for something a little more. Loved the old guy with the pickaxe though.
Also Rec2 on the same day... not as good as the original but still a great horror with loads of claustrophobic atmospherics, more mindfuck than out and out gore. Not technically zombies but as good as

TWD is just a repeat of S1.
the pilot is worth a watch but the rest is all balls -

The Zombie survival guide is awesome. I read it about 2 years ago and was also watching ALOT of zombie movies at the time, as a result I slept with a mallet by my bed just in case.............

might lead to season 2 thought right...right? -

WWZ is great, though the bit where he meets interviews a English man is well cheesey, "oh well all stayed in our castles, long live the Queen etc". Mind you every nation suffered from stereotyping in the book. You can tell it's written by a yank.

Well, the last Zombie book I read was Zombie Britannia, and it was quite possibly the worst book I have ever read. It was like reading a 14 year old's homework.

might lead to season 2 thought right...right?Well, its 6 episodes, s2 hasn't been filmed yet, not due for a US airing until October at the earliest.
Unless they are showing an ep a month until then I doubt it will lead into s2.Best off buying the comics, they are rereleasing them weekly atm.
I think they are at 80 in total, so should keep you busy. -

I barely have time to read as it is... I'll wait

anyone read the morningstar saga books by Z.A Recht? so tragic he died before finishing the last one, still good books though.
I also really like the day by day books by J.L. Bourne, the viewpoint of the main character is so practical in his approach to handling the apocalypse it's like a dramatisation of the zombie survival guide almost.
currently working my way through the monster books but after the end of the second one it's getting much too ridiculous for my tastes (ignoring how ridiculous the notion of the dead rising is in the first place).

I met a friend of a friend at a party on Saturday, he's a film journalist. We started talking about [REC]2 and he's got one of the quotes on the dvd box!
He told me there's a third one in the works... should be interesting.

Just watched this. Very impressive for a fan film. Though based in the Half-Life world, it has got zombies in it.

Damn wish that would be a full length feature film!!!
Really good

I love the Half-Life series. One day they'll bring out 3.
Not much happens in each episode, I'm beginning to find it all a bit dull. It's like they've stretched a half-hour script out to 45 minutes.
