  • About 6ish this evening, young boy band floppy haired type on an almost-fluorescent yellow fixie with a plastic spock fronty avec shit lights and no helmet. I passed you round Piccadilly and then you sped up to undertake me like a champ to RLJ and very almost get it in the side by a black cab who was going on his green. Me and that cabbie exchanged some good ole "what a cunt" glances whilst you sped off towards Parliament.

  • If he had had a helmet on though you wouldn't be able to wank yourself to sleep tonight thinking about his boy band hair and how it would feel as you gently slid your fingers through it. So swings and roundabouts, really.

  • Moist.

    Boy Band you say?

  • I still find it interesting they haven't found the a7 driver!

Can't wait to see those viral videos of cyclists endangering those poor drivers' lives

It's the cyclist who should be prosecuted - not the Audi driver. The cyclist is guilty of initiating the confrontation by his threatening behaviour. The motorist was merely defending himself.

When you are threatened in such an aggressive and frightening way you are entitled to try to ensure that your aggressor cannot harm you by flooring him first.

The problem is also the arrogant cyclists who cycle in the middle of the road instead of keeping out of the way next to the kerb.

When I cycle I always ensure that I am not a nuisance to motorists. If all cyclists adopted this attitude - instead of the aggressive, selfish, arrogant and deliberately annoying one so many seem to prefer - then there wouldn't be such confontations between cyclists and motorists in the first place.

  • Never. Read. The. Comments.

  • I know , I know. I fell off the wagon this time :(

  • So despite the articles incendiary start, drivers aren't buying dash cams to capture errant cyclists, they are buying them to catch bad drivers - same reason cyclists are buying them.

But you know got to blame people who ride little bicycles for something.

Also hadn't heard about Clarkson reacting to all the shit he got for being a dick by being even more of a dick about it. What a fucking cunt.

    He's probably OB or worse

More from the people's favourite, ladies anf gentlemen, I give you: Timon.

TimonSays 10 hours ago Ratep - Of course I understand what they say, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with them.

I consider my judgement to be superior to that of the politicians who are in charge and therefore prefer to rely on my own view of what is right.

He would fit right in on here.

  • it's Jeez aicmfp.

  • Saw Revolution 11 in Manchester. Great fun!

But the cyclists there...in the space of 2 days:
3 BMX bandits with no brakes in town, on the road.
People returning from velodrome match with a tiny front light/no rear light going on a dual carriageway in the dark.
A guy going against the traffic in the city center.

    And...
An ejit cyclist with no lights on the tram tracks near the 'drome. A collective "Darwin award right there" from the 30 or so people waiting on the tram.

Made the BRAKESRDEATH Mielec parked at the drome/fixed no foot retention crowd spotted in town too seem wholly insignificant :):)

  • we're all such good cyclists up here in manchester that none of those things mater

  • You must have perfect bus/car/tram drivers too ;)

Leave your mother out of this.

  • Calling myself out. Didn't stop at a pedestrian crossing I should have. Pedestrian crossing was hidden behind the cyclist in front of me. Should pay more attention.

Also the floppy-haired twat who rear-ended me while trying to wobble between me and a parked car.

Had quite a few people rear end me recently. Whilst I have been stationary for some time. Don't get it. Is it really that difficult to judge stopping distance or the amount of space your bicycle takes up in front of you?

  • Calling out the tit that decided to go round the traffic hump on the right rather than the left causing him to cycle directly into my path such that I needed to brake to avoid a collision (as he was apparently disinclined to similarly impede his progress). Not sure why such a manoeuvre merited a mouthful in my direction (which was duly returned).

    Head on?

  • Rear ended.

  • Head on?

    Yep, head on.

  • Calling out another rear-ender - Mr Rusty Unidentified-Hybrid (who also undertook at every lights along George St) crashed into me when I was stationary for some time, waiting at Edgware Rd lights. I did point out I was not waiting at the line due to the chap in the Prius indicating left and angled across the lane. But you decided it was a fantastic idea to go through the lights to wait on the left hand side, in front of him. What a clever chap you are! You deserved the beeps and verbals you got this morning.

Also when I got to work, I discovered a broken rear spoke (pain in the arse to replace on a 451 wheel), which may have been unrelated. But I'm blaming you!

The main reason for all of this IMO is simply over subscribed, poorly maintained roads. Maybe those that were cycling pre 2006 can confirm things didn't feel as angst-y as they do nowadays?
