Sorry, but I'm not the street-wise Hercules.
Its funny that on LFGSS we can insult drivers/bad cyclists as much as we want. We use the line 'natural selection' when talking about bad decisions these road users make.
Joking about death and being killed is OK. Until its against the grain, until something like helmets/light placement/RLJ/ or anything else that could have some 'trendy' qualities applied to. Suddenly everyone has to fight for moral high ground and we're all Judge Judy. It's probably not a popular view, but I think you've got a point. If a pedestrian steps out right in front of a car, most people would not assign blame to the unfortunate driver that ploughed into them. My personal view is that cycling up the inside of a moving vehicle that is indicating left is equally foolhardy, and the result is fairly predictable.
It seems to me that lots of forumengers are happy to "call out" cyclists doing irresponsible things, but when those actions lead to a fatality, they become entirely the fault of the motorist. I don't understand why.

The problem is more than antisocial.
It is illegal, dangerous, arrogant, stupid and ultimately pointless. Its funny that on LFGSS we can insult drivers/bad cyclists as much as we want. We use the line 'natural selection' when talking about bad decisions these road users make.

The way Women are fiercely protected on here (whiteknighting) He would probably throw his coat down for me to walk on and other nonsense that I personally dissaprove of but is 'appropriate' and makes men look better. What is your point? As stated previously many of us do not condone red light jumping, but we don't suggest people who do so deserve to die, however you said they do.
I am at liberty to call anyone out for being an idiot, their gender is irrelevant. I am unclear as to why you think I am white knighting. Especially after
So you're abusive to women in public?
You appear to want your cake and to eat it too, in your mind I am somehow attacking women and defending them simultaneously.

It's probably not a popular view, but I think you've got a point. If a pedestrian steps out right in front of a car, most people would not assign blame to the unfortunate driver that ploughed into them.
Except that they do if the driver did not perform an emergency stop to prevent a collision, even if it's the peds fault, it's largely on the hand of the drivers to avoid fatality.
My personal view is that cycling up the inside of a moving vehicle that is indicating left is equally foolhardy, and the result is fairly predictable.
I agree, but you have to remember why people cycle on the inside in the first place, they don't do it out of malice, they do it because society told them to, the cycle lane, the infrastructure, the berated drivers shouting at them to stay closed to the kerbs/go on pavement, etc.
And then suddenly, people started blaming cyclists for doing what they were encourage to do.
It seems to me that lots of forumengers are happy to "call out" cyclists doing irresponsible things, but when those actions lead to a fatality, they become entirely the fault of the motorist. I don't understand why.
Because no one have yet (AFAIK) witnessed a cyclists being killed to make such statement.
This topic should be nuked, it add nothing constructive other than fuelling Boris' bad cyclists rants.

About 75% of cyclist/motorist accidents are found to be the fault of the driver.

Similar to this, peds tend to be out in the roads in areas where the pavements can't handle the footfall eg a lot of the West End*.
(*I just wished they'd fucking look up before stepping out between high sided vehicles sometimes!)

Calling myself out.
This morning, approaching the junction of the A23 and Vassal Road. Lights are green, traffic is light and I'm in the bus lane heading through the junction. It was only after clearing the junction that I realised that I had gone down the inside of a removal van turning left from the outside lane.
Not sure if he was indicating but could have been nasty and normally my spidey senses would have been tingling. Must pay more attention.

Guy who undertook me, then a bus, then jumped a red light on Hackney Road this morning told me not to patronise him when told that he rides like a pillock.
No mate. This is patronising. Keep on doin' you, sugar.

Why did you not inform him kindly that brakes are death?
I wish I was out doing that but it hasn't rained for a few days, all the women are getting by fine without me, I feel so useless.
