  • Got the bus yesterday.
Seen a guy trying to undertake the bus, wouldn't have been such a bad idea except he wanted to complete this maneouvre at the same time the bus stopped for a stop.
    He threw a little tantrum.

  • Guy shouted 'be smart' with a smirk as he RLJed passed me into turning cars nearly crashing. When the lights turn green I accelerate, as I'm overtaking him (2-3 times his speed) I go handless showing him both fingers and shout 'be fast' with raised eyebrows.

This is the best response. Rep.

  • A look of shock while track standing and a lady bumped me from behind with a crappy barclays bike while I was clipped in. Essex Road. No apology. I was tempted to swear but the years don't look as they've treated you kind. So I left it. Maybe you had a lot on your mind.

  • Now in rush hour time no track standing anymore. This has happened maybe 4 times this year.

  • Try to stop wobbling back and forth so much when you trackstand then. You might find you don't then reverse into people's front wheels.

  • I wasn't she did a stop where she jumped off the saddle put her feet down and squeezed the brake the same time. I call it the bail and brake. It just went bump. I agree with you a nice stable track stand is where its at.

  • That wouyld be called taking primary position in the road.

You win today's CLEVER CLOGS clog. Wear it with pride.

There's nothing wrong with taking primary position, but staying there all the time? No. That's just being cunty.

  • fuck, I was gunning for those. Will I never win?

  • you get the wooden shoe spoon

A single clog? What the stumbling fuck am I supposed to do with a single clog?

  • hop

  • continue to be a clever clogs until you win another one.

  • ^^ along the middle of the road

  • City sprint bloke on a black and orange fix, you sir are a nobber. When a mervyn king-a-like and me have to share a "WTF" face at your selfish actions, you know you dun bad.

Mitigated by the 2 buses, WVM, taxis and murderous ped that also marred this morning commute.

  • OK someone must know this bloke I met today on Camberwell Rd/Bowyer Pl junction:

I'm sure he was riding a Cinelli Vigorelli (possibly with a free wheel). If you do know him have a firm word. Cycling with him and another cyclist. Both of them keep RLJing where possible but haven't really gained any advantage and belligerently passing everything on the left. None of that bothered me but I was forced to say something when waiting at the junction pictured- to go ahead- you decide that the minibus already there, indicating left, so far in the left lane that you couldn't skateboard your way to the front. Yet you still felt obliged to try and force your way down it's side to the front for what? You got a bike length down and had to stop. Are you faster than internal combustion? Was the space there? I was genuinely scared for you and asked you why?

him: I was perfectly safe there.

me: But what was the benefit of squeezing in where you can't fit?

him: it's fine it couldn't get me. It was safe.

[[The most mental thing about all this was that you were going straight ahead!*]]

me: what about subsequent vehicles (from) behind turning left. Will they understand that you're going straight? Or could they left hook you?

you had a blank look in your face for a while and I hoped it would sink in but you insisted you were in the right and I have my view you have yours.
    .......O....K......

Your positioning and worse your reasoning was truly stupid but I'm glad it didn't end up in acrimony. If I were your mate or family, I'd have slapped you for your unnecessary suicidal positioning though. Please apply some critical judgement on your maneuvers.

    • The minibus left less space there than the bus in the image.

  • British Transport Police are trying to trace the woman, who also ignored the flashing lights and warning signals, as it is imperitive she is sterilised ASAP for the good of the human gene pool.

  • cycling is a rush and cycling fast and possibly dangerously is extremely thrilling although obviously a bad idea when it comes to safety I will always choose fun over safety.
as to the danger to pedestrians or other road users I guess pedestrians should stay on the pavement and us on the road and all should be safe, we're also the weakest on the road so no worry for cars

  • Going through Leyton this morning behind Mr Hipster on his rear-brakeless single gear. Made brief comment at the lights to the effect of 'mate, you really oughta have a rear brake for that setup, or get a fixed gear and some foot retention'. Total blankness from my floppy-haired friend. Then saw he also has in-ear phones and not a clue what I'm saying.

In the words of the great Essex philosopher Jamie Oliver 'Oh my days.......'

  • So rad.
