  • Call me a wimp, I would never cycle down the A13. Period.

  • ^Wimp

  • Which part of the A13 are we talking here?

  • Was hauling my fat ass up denmark hill earlier, not really going for it, but putting in a nescessary effort and keeping a good pace due to being fixed. Bloke on a geared bike, jeans, clipped in, sprints up on my right. I think, ok, overtake if you like, I'm knackered, and sit down and hold my speed. He runs out of puff and slows down, hovering on my right shoulder. It's all fine until we approach a car parked in the bus lane, and I look back as if to say "you going to over take? you going to drop back so I can pull out?" but he just sits there. I look back a couple more times as we approach the car, whose door is now opening, and have to pull out infront of this bloke and sprint to avoid a too close for comfort situation. A completely non event, but I had started to miss whining about other road users.

  • I saw someone taking a dreadful line around a corner today. Makes me so angry.

  • Also noticed someone's rear wheel skittering around due to excessive tyre pressure. I was that close to having a stroke.

  • Ha ha.

  • ^^

    Fuck that second one! Maniac.

  • Premises is a bit of a joker, but i prefer BARON

  • Baron will be on TV before too long. Apart from the fact that people like him are making TV less relevant. Funny chap.

  • Nah, he sounds too much like Robert Webb.

I flip my lid at stoopid cyclists! I love calling out bad riders

  • *in reference to the youboob video.

  • Bump for a new page

There are some really shit cyclists here...

  • To the roadie with white cap at the pentonville road/penton st junction about an hour ago - a red light means you do not cross the junction, whereas my green light means I am allowed to cross the junction. And "FUCK YOU" back

  • This morning I was in a mood and decided to be quite untactful when calling out a roadie.

He swerves round to the right of a car, that is indicating right, and has started moving to turn right, to overtake it. This evidently inconveniencies him as he nearly T bones the vehicle, so he starts shouting at the driver and then heads on his way.

Then about 30 seconds later he RLJs through a busy intersection to the sound of many horns.

So when I caught up with him a few minutes later, the conversation went something like this.

    Me: Hello mate!
    Him: hello....
Me: Has anyone ever told you that you ride like a cock?
Him: (in a look of disbelief) Sorry, what was that?
me: YOU RIDE LIKE A MASSIVE DICK YOU CUNT.
Him: Fuck off mate, mind your own business.

His pace was pathetic and I didn't feel like engaging him anymore than that. He passed me later with a very wide berth whilst RLJing Shepherds bush roundabout.

  • That's no way to speak to your mate...

  • I saw some mug on a dodgy mountain bike come close to getting sandwiched between a double decker bus and a white van on my ride to work yesterday morning. The best part is that he overtook me as I was slowing down to avoid having to squeeze through an ever narrowing gap, saying "fucking hell mate, come on". I didn't say anything after I passed him a few seconds later but he was white as a sheet!

  • theres a guy i keep seeing in the morning on holloway road riding an old decathlon hybrid/mtb thing whose driveside crank is so loose its pretty much held on by the chain and FD, its a literal death trap but seems to have lasted the last few weeks of seeing him every few days.. ive said to him numerous times that really needs fixing and his reply is always 'yeah i know aha, will do it after work' we ride past a CS thats open from 8am as well

fair enough for him to put himself in danger but if that crank comes off when he's surrounded by 15 other cyclists like there is most mornings theres a huge pileup just waiting to happen

  • Take some allen keys and detain him until you've tightened it?

  • indeed, you should: I once arrested chainbreaker on the OKR and forced him to use an imperial allen key on his crank

he was grateful once he got over the shock

  • Reminds me of when I saw some guy on a (presumably) wartime rustbucket, rear wheel completely tacoed but riding happily up Clerkenwell Road. Told me I wasn't the first to point it out and that everyone needs to chill out and not worry so much about looks.

  • my friend had a tacoed back wheel and so no back brake as it rubbed. i said to him "I'm embarrassed to ride near you"
i saw his face as his soul crushed a little bit...and we then proceeded to go to LMNH to sort that shit out.
