Nearly got taken out by some half wit cyclist that decided to try and use a pedestrian crossing so they could cross the road for some more pavement cycling, the light for the cars and myself was green I start sprinting off then have to do an awkward swerve/emergency stop while they weave in and out of cars also having to stop again. I was completely baffled as were most of the cars around, she was so close to getting hit by 3 cars and me.

And I must say that you clearly all exercised admirable restraint.

Next time I see hi-viz middle aged man speeding on a shared pedestrian path outside my house i'm doing this...

Not really. I might just call him a cunt, under my breath, as he's well down the road.

as I was waiting to pull out onto the E&C roundabout this morning coming north from kennington I saw a guy on a brompton ride up the outside of all 4 lanes to get to the front of the waiting traffic and then sharply turn left 45 degrees straight across the front bumper of a transit van waiting to pull out just as a gap on the roundabout large opened up and the van driver was lifting off the clutch.
how he didn't go under the transit I do not know. all i can say is it's probably luck that the van driver had some coffee before leaving the house and was nice and alert as he had literally a second to react otherwise he would have just accelerated over him.

Some utter plumb who I assume is on here cycling up Bellenden Road at about 6pm today, on a nice geared lo pro. Hands off the bars, texting/using his phone at 5 miles an hour in the MIDDLE of the road.
For fuck's sake.
However, this morning was made significantly better by seeing a guy getting ticketed for running the red lights at the bottom of Grosvenor place.
I'm all for creeping across a pedestrian crossing if there are obviously no pedestrians around and it's still on red, but jumping the 4 lane junctions around central is just fucking ridiculous.
PLUS, there are PCSOs (and real police) there every morning. I assume they are 'spotting' as the guy was pulled to the side a little bit further up by a PC on one of those official Police 'mountain bikes'. -

Had a similar thing last night. So many people riding without lights as I was walking back home (an hour...). Eventually I took to shouting at every single one of them.
About halfway home, as I entered downtown, suddenly I see hoardes of police pulling people over for not having lights. I flashed each of the offenders a grin as I walked past. Dickheads.
Usually Japanese cops are fucking useless but at the beginning of each university/school semester they have a little crack-down on this sort of shit and it makes me happy (not that it makes any real difference).

Calling out ME as a 'bad' cyclist. Pouring with rain this morning riding along in the designated lane to turn left at the next junction. Person on a moped goes past 'beeping' and shouting at me for being in the wrong lane. Apparently according to them I have to be in the right hand lane even though I am about to turn left. Of course after 'beeping' me they have to stop at the traffic light immediately ahead.
So I time it so that just as the light changes I am level with them and I start encroaching on their road space, not letting them get ahead, daring them to hit me and effectively forcing them out of the lane into the next.
Its not smart and its not clever and I should know better. Bad Buddha.

I called out a guy on a blue gs / ss (don't know which) this morning. going along Notting Hill Gate, the lights by the gate cinema are red so I slow down, I get overtaken by this guy who then decides to slow down whilst moving to the left, his saddle was in line with my forks at the time but as it was a low speed I did not worry, just put my brake on. Then along Bayswater Road I had overtaken him and was coming up to a red light again - he does the same thing. The traffic gets going again so I pull alongside him and say 'Please could you look before pulling back in after overtaking' - he said 'I did' I then explained that on 2 occasions he did not do this and that I had to brake to avoid a collision. He then tells me that I should not be telling him off, as I should always be looking forwards....
Get towards another red light, he then tries to pass an LGV between the vehicle and the kerb - lights go green, and I then overtake him behind the LGV, he is stationary with a foot on the kerb now... I did not offer him further advice as I think he kind of learned something from the whole experience.
Oh, if you are on here, I really really hope you do change the way you cycle.

Police were doing a blitz on RLJs at the junction of Southwark Bridge and Southwark St today. As a rule I don't jump reds myself so no problems I'm thinking. I pull up at the red light in front of a black cab turning left, I am intending on going straight ahead.
Of course I hadn't noticed that the cab is sitting in the advanced cycle box and consequently I'm in front of the forward stop line. The light drops to amber and I'm about to pull away when I get a police officer on the curb yelling at me to stop because he wants to speak with me.
He is telling me I am breaking the traffic rules which is a £30 fine and I'm trying to explain to him I need to be out in front of the left turning taxi to be seen instead of waiting in his blind spot. Meanwhile the traffic is now turning left and taxis and huge coaches are making the left turn around me whilst the officer stands on the curb lecturing me about the problems of bad cyclists. I was getting a bit panicky about the coach turning across me and the guy seemed to sense this because then he decides wave me on and not fine me 'this time'. I am still pretty worked up about the whole situation however.
I think it is ridiculous that I would need to stay back alongside a left turning vehicle when it is occupying the cycle box.
Apparently this operation last week resulted in one cyclist being issued with a £30 penalty notice for ignoring a red traffic light, and a further 30 cyclists and 25 motorists were given advice. -

The sad thing is there are not enough DA MONIES for this sort of thing in the Council's coffers. And if there is its not a priority afaik.

A guy annoyed me yesterday at around 4pm at Holborn cross roads. I was waiting for 3 cabs in front of me to turn left like I was and some penis behind me started having a pop at me for not going forward. Like I mean turning left with them and risking getting taken out.
The guy was probably in his early 50's.
I havnt been able to ride for a week and as a result been off work, so was just riding about on a chilled one to see how my ankle feels now.
If you want past me and then wanna undertake 3 cabs as they are turning left be my guest pal, but dont have a pop at me for not.

There have been some police around the junction of Lower Grosvenor Place/Buckingham Palace Road/Bressenden Place for about a week. I don't generally see too many RLJs there, but the junction at Ebury Street/Beeston Place/Grosvenor Gardens/Lower Grosvenor Gardens - I sometimes think I am the only cyclist who stops on red.
I didn't say parking?
