ooof!!
Nice note: PiQuE on Shoreditch High - nice to meet you, cheers for the saddle
Bad note: someone in Cycle Surgery Holborn in the queue in front of me about 6.30 this eve getting a bit narky and hmphing, swearing and tutting a lot. Small 'tache, tweed cap, mission workshop backpack, generally acting like he was gracing us and the shop with his presence.
When asked to move his bike from leaning against their stock to the racks at the door by the security guard he loudly said "there's no room on his precious rack, does he think I'm gonna leave 3 and a half grands worth of bike outside without a lock, errrmm I don't think so!" Congrats everyone heard, you spanked loads of cash on a bike, well fucking done. Maybe an idea to buy a lock too, I hear they're useful in London. Bike was brushed aluminium with carbon forks, mavic rims I think and drop bars with black tape. Cheers for looking at me and my admittedly fixie skidderesque bike like we were pieces of shit as I left too- nice attitude.

There doesn't seem to be a thread for this...
why'd you get rid of your post? I was thinking how nice it would have been to tell him to take a walk for brining so much misery to the world.
Probably wouldn't have, though.

When I worked in a bar the amount of people that just said "I'll have a beer" was astounding.
Even now when I work in a burrito take-away, there's quite a bit of choice of which kind of burrito you want, fillings etc, yet people still walk up to me and say "I'll have a burrito" then look as if the order is done and wait for you to make it, -

Strange, awesome hilarious but woefully inaccurate.
I actually stayed there and helped a customer with his hybrid because he could not fit his new brake blocks.
I had arrived and the rack was full so leant my bike up. Had got to the front of the queue when security told me to move my bike. I pointed out that there was no room in the rack so gentile me to leave it outside.
I said I did not want to lock it outside and yes I mentioned its value. Then one place became available in the rack and security guard demanded I move my bike, thus making menlose my place in the queue to be served.
Your selective hearing is fantastic, and you clearly did not see me leave because I was there for 10 minutes helping the nodder and suggesting he did a ctuk mechanics course.

I could tell you a thousand stories..
The lady who complained about dirty potatoes... the bloke who didn't believe we didn't have broccoli and various other wanker I had to deal with in retail.
Everytime in my life when I think I can't meet a bigger wanker, I am proved wrong.
I would like to quote Einstein ... "There are two things that are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, I am not sure about the former".

I had a tactic for customers like you, I would usually whisper in customers ears "I wish you would die soon". Used to do the trick tbh. Never got any complaints ... I used to have a skinhead.

Bet that made you feel all superior. Doubt you would have said a word to me.

I might have ... depends how I felt at the time. It really depends how bothered I was.
As a customer you have a responsiblilty not to be a wanker as much as I have a responsibility to do my job.
If you are nice to people... people are nice back ... works a treat. Simple please and thankyou will make me bend over backwords to help you ... complaining to me about something I can't control will make me wish you were dead... Empathy ... all round works well.

Apparently you seem to be Inferring I should be scared of you because you are apparently physically imposing ... well if that is the only thing you gotta rely on for people to show respect to you I feel very sorry for you.

Brushed aluminium made me cry
:)
When I worked virtually at the feet of Big Ben, you know, that bike clock thingy in parlament square ?
People would stroll in to the shop and ask me the time !
Some things people do hey. -

Honestly, I ment wanker as one who pleasures himself....as all people really.
But as a customer, you pay for something you expect it done. As a customer paying is the key. If you believe that the customer has a responsibility more than payment for a good or service you are sorely mistaken. If you feel by threatening behavoiur makes you have the superior in the hierachy maybe its time you found employment not dealing with people.

Nope, not at all. Your statement about being a skin head was a comment on scaring people by being physically imposing. I would say on certain levels you rely on that aspect to gain respect. I have no need for others respect as at the end of the day it my own respect for self that i wish to nurture.

I never used threatening behaviour. I only told them I wished they were dead ... big fucking difference. I don't like people treating me like shit because I am stacking veg.
If you seriously think that complaining about "dirty" potatoes that come from the Earth is a reasonable thing to do ... Darwin should have caught up with you by now.

I had a skinhead because I couldn't afford to cut my hair at the time, other than my mate with grad 0 clippers. The skin used to add to the affect nothing else.
Btw mate when people say they need no need for others respect, they usually mean that no one respects them and they probably have no mates.
Edit: this is now boring me. I have nothing more to say other than you are no on ignore.

Nope but if its important to someone, we all have issues. But wishing someone dead is very threatening IMO its quite emotional response.
Unfortuntly due to recent developments I won't be able to win a darwin award, even though come close a few times.

No need to justify your original statement.
I believe that respect is a positive feeling of esteem, if you do not have that for yourself it doesn't matter how many friends you think you have or think that respect you as you will always feel something is missing.
