• What about a Vitus 992 / s58 frame...no decals in it, minor marks, with original fork and headset?

  • I'm dabbling with idea of selling my Dura Ace 7600 wheel set, laced to black deep V's, they've had limited use, currently running vittoria zaffiro slick's for the track but they've not been used on the velodrome just yet and it's looming that's going to be the case for the rest of the year...
The barings have been replaced and come with a tub of dura-ace specific grease too

I'm wanting them to be worth £250 but think i'm a little off?

  • For an 'as new' wheelset £250 is bang on.

I was going to pay £180 for poor condition DA 7600 laced to open pros.

  • I couldn't say they're 'as new' ... I already made that mistake once before and had to pay the price! They're been very well kept, and serviced, very few scratches or scuffs etc.

They're just so damn beautiful!!! Yet so bloody impractical... and with our current 'spring' situation it's looking unlikely they're become a summer wheel set either!

  • Gl... cant sell the shit out of mine

  • I've got a track/path frame that I've had for a while and I want to now sell on. I'm reasonably sure it's an imperial petrel from the 30's/40's (mainly because of the serial stamp on the lower ht lug). It's got track ends, is drilled for brakes, has mudguard eyelets and isn't especially light. It currently has a rather garish rattlecan paint job in ironman hotrod red and gold! My question- how much is this sort of thing worth, if anything?! Cheers.

  • Also whilst I'm here, how much is a Dura ace 7900 hub laced to open pro rim front wheel worth? It's in good condition and comes with QR skewer.

    #fail

  • What is a reasonable price for this:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cannondale-CAAD10-Frame-/251248812661?&pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&maxbid=300&autorefresh=true

Bearing in mind they can be purchased new for £549.99

  • £398.99.

  • Har har har. ;-) Unsure at the moment as I really want it, but clearly it is quite expensive...

Also I'd be stripping all the parts so it seems like a bit of a faff.

  • i want to sell my ridley airplane alu/carbon bike (use to be one of the top frames of the brand), it has a rear and front carbon fork, equiped with campagnolo centaur 10speed, bunch of ritchey stuff, ...

it's got too small for me, it's a size 52, in good condition

what would be a decent price to ask for this?
i would really love to trade this against a "modern" equiped steel framed cx bike, can even be a single speed cx bike, prefer a size 55-56, would be difficult as i live in belgium so yea...

  • hi everybody. i have a Shimano 600 tricolor group. 7 speed including hubs laced to mavic ma40 rims, pedals, biopace rings, NOS seatpost and everything else except for the stem (i'm not sure if this exact group had a stem at all). i'm thinking about selling it to fund a mountain bike and i was wondering how much i could ask for it. i've seen it on ebay for 200 euros...

  • Set of Universal pantographed brakes...no idea what they're worth. If little may just use them as earrings :P

  • This one if for sale in Sweden, he want 5500 SEK (arround 550 pounds) for it.

    Somec, 57 c-t.

    Is it a fair deal?

  • somec? buy and run so he wont ever find you

  • parts are meh/toss, so it's a lot for a nice frame

  • its a somec so I am biased, but flat forks, integrated cabling, so sell off parts for 100-150 and you're left with a high end tubing lo-pro frame

    plus its a somec

  • its a somec so I am biased, but flat forks, integrated cabling, so sell off parts for 100 if you're lucky and you're left with a high end tubing lo-pro frame** that's well used and probably has a cheap bb and hset that's cost 450 plus postage maybe**

    then the build starts

  • then the build starts

Seems that we have mixed opinions here..

I just do not want to pay to much, money is tight, need to spare some for parts.

Still, i love lo-pro frames and they aren't that easy to find in Sweden (where i currently live).

    ....hmmm

  • I think Ben is more realistic about this :)

  • Can tell you that your build will cost you more than you want it to be.

If you are like me and get a bike in cycling time season, not in the midst of winter and want to take more than a year to build it up.

They are nice. The price they'll fetch depends upon the market. In the US in the right scene they are worth real money.. people wanting to finish a vintage project seem to dig quite deep into their pockets... But in European eBay they often go literally for the price of a (large) bag of crisps..
