Started the day off with a run before work, feeling on it!

Switched my bars to some narrow flats the other day but hadn't gone out on the until tonight. Just had a quick ride round the block and started busting out skids like a badman.. Risers/flats are the way forward!

Funny you say that, as I found switching back to my bulls after riding those risers made things a lot easier, maybe it's just the familiarity that helps. I'm worried I'm going to start working through my tyre now though, 44x16 only gives 4 skid patches...

There's quite a few mango 'fixies' knocking around Norwich
-
• #382
And they're all horrible.
-
• #383
Yep, they're all ridden ss by kids that hang out at the forum
-
• #384
Horrible bikes are better than no bikes. Gotta start somewhere, even if SS is the worst of both worlds.
-
• #385
True!
-
• #386
Gateway bikes, as long as these kids progress onto better things...

I wouldn't mind if they weren't such stupidly garish colours. They're never going to be the best bikes in the world, but putting orange rims, white tyres, orange grips, a white saddle, and white cables on a lime green frame certainly doesn't help their cause - it's not 2007 anymore. I've just been on their custom page, and if you make everything sensible colours they look alright.

It's because they have their hair halfway across their face, they can't see the colours properly. And if they could they'd be too busy pulling their jeans up to care. Damned pesky kids. I'm also jealous because I miss my cool fixietwatmobile.

They dont need to pull there jeans up, they are sprayed on...

I had a dream I did a huge track stand damn :(

• #392
Get out on that bike today and see if dreams can come true....

Spoke to Matt about building the falcon up as a 5 speed beater today, looking for a few parts so if anyone has anything (wheelset/saddle/derailleur/reverse levers) let me know!

• #394
I've got a black Genesis saddle you can have for tenner if you want?
-
• #395
Thanks Jfp, I may have already sorted something but if not I'll pm you
-
• #396
Dropped my chain being a silly bugger skidding down York St with Rikki and spiderpie. Note to self - proper chain tension is your friend.
-
• #397
Haha, you get it sorted?
-
• #398
Well, it's still rideable, but I'll tighten it up before the ride to work tomorrow, then will look for some more grippy washers when I'm there as the current ones seem to slip!
-
• #399
Or get a track frame/chain tugs ;)
-
• #400
Well yeah, that'd be nice!
