I feel keeping up could be an issue but yes!

Was driving around in the sun today thinking 'I need to get out and do some longer riding now'. A winter of driving my daughter around to get her to sleep has given me a few tasty routes to try out. Just need the time to get out and do them.

@bengreen keeping up won't be an issue; it's no fun having a splintered group, and racing's for jerks anyway.
@jdp I've been woefully uninspired of late - hope the promise of sun and my recent retail therapy 'to try and get my mojo back' works! Either that, or I'll just be jazzily clad sat indoors...

Jack at dandy horse finished of my road bike, looking forward to giving it a proper ride... Hand built by Bob Jackson 653 tubing light as anything and some classic campagnolo wheels and group set

Ha, I definitely don't. It's Norfolk, not the Alps!

...one should always looks jazzily clad, whether indoors or out...

Speaking of that, when's the new kit arriving?

@Rikki Ages to go yet :( Pre-orders only closed Saturday just gone, then it's seven weeks production time, plus probably an extra week for distribution and final delivery to me from Paris. I reckon I'll have it mid-April at the earliest! Shoes are on their way though, so they'll tide me over for the mean time.
-
• #1086
Ah damn!
Just a thought, you may have to buy yet another pair of shoes to go with it..
-
• #1087
I think I'm set with two 'new' pairs of silly road shoes to be honest, although you never know...

Shoe n+1?

• #1089
Buy my Rocket7 shoes. They're jazzy as fuck
-
• #1090
Slightly off on a tangent but I've always wanted to give clipless a go but don't want to take the plunge and spend £50 plus on something I may never use again. Anyone have some size 9s and some pedals I could borrow some time?
-
• #1092
@TomvanHalen Blimey, didn't realise the Rocket7s were so pricey! Silly money for the RRP.

I know right? I got them from a guy that was clearing out his holiday home of all the random expensive shit he accrued there. Never-laced tune hubs, ENVE rims, that kind of thing. They're proper nice though. Shame they're a half size too big for me.
-
• #1094
Awesome thanks.
I'm only going by my typical shoe size; am I right in thinking that they come up small? I could very well be a 10, I'm sure an 11 would be too big though

Shimanos are narrow, Italian shoes are often a half size smaller than listed or so (except Giros which seem to fit well)
-
• #1096
ThankS! I may have to just try a few on, I could certainly think of worse things to do on my day off.

Streetlife and Ped Revs have probably got the best selection in town if you fancy a wander. Cycle UK only stock Spesh, and are just an awful shop anyway.
-
• #1098
Actually, Borwells have got a good range too, but they're a bit out of your way!
-
• #1099
I was thinking Ped Revs and Streetlife actually, the latter is practically on my doorstep

Some dude with purple in his hair track standing on his specialised run of the mill fixed gear at the lights for ages (start of grapes hill/dereham road) then proceeds to go slow so i overtake him. Decides to mash past me, would have raced but i was near home anyway. If you're on here, go clip less or get straps! They'll be better than what you have
Does this mean we can actually have some proper forum rides in spring!?
