David, you mentioned it yesterday and LMNH and I'll let you use my bike on the stand if you want. Can only be on the weekend though as it's my only method of transport.

Not sure whether to post this in the Epic Fail thread or here, but I gave this mosaic idea a go. I downloaded the 7,000+ images from Flickr that were tagged with 'LFGSS'. Then wrote a little script to assemble them into a mosaic. The source image was basically 'LFGSS' in something like Courier New, on top of a full spectrum circular gradient.

So, either my matching algorithm is shit (it is), or 7,000+ images doesn't give you the variety of palette you'll need to pull off a mosaic.

I think others are working on it, so maybe that's what they are doing. I was just playing around with the idea
