  • Not really enough time this year but next year should you go again (or if you're not barred LOL) I'd be happy to make a frame to put on the stand, perhaps paint it with LFGSS and Rourke

  • RAD!

    (and dibs!)

  • Hmmm. Rourke polo frame?

  • RAD!

    (and dibs!)

LOL I would want it back! Unless you sold it ofcourse.

  • ;)

  • awesome ^

    Someone would buy that.

    I'd buy it!

  • That got to be awesome, especially a BR's.

  • I'd buy it!

This is why there is no boat.

  • Thats an awesome offer

  • David, you mentioned it yesterday and LMNH and I'll let you use my bike on the stand if you want. Can only be on the weekend though as it's my only method of transport.

  • I have a press pass for thursday, can't wait!

  • I doubt we have the time, but I'd love something like this:

But really... I'm very happy with lots of real photos.

    yep

    yep

will have a think, do some research and get back to you.
I'll start a thread for image contributions and volunteers - sticky sticky

    cool :)

Not sure whether to post this in the Epic Fail thread or here, but I gave this mosaic idea a go. I downloaded the 7,000+ images from Flickr that were tagged with 'LFGSS'. Then wrote a little script to assemble them into a mosaic. The source image was basically 'LFGSS' in something like Courier New, on top of a full spectrum circular gradient.

So, either my matching algorithm is shit (it is), or 7,000+ images doesn't give you the variety of palette you'll need to pull off a mosaic.

I thought the mosaic was only meant to be a collage of prints to spell out LFGSS, i.e. not a clever computer graphic?

    Sorry if I've missed something.

I think others are working on it, so maybe that's what they are doing. I was just playing around with the idea

  • Um, there's a website which does it way better than that, I've been using it to make mock ups for Velocio. pictosaic.com

But yes I understand they are making it with their own fair hands.

  • If it hasn't been suggested already, there's a whole load of images that I feel represent the true spirit of the forum in a more creative and expressive manner here:

before I clicked your link I had a horrid idea it could be this link!

Do you have to pay for their services?

I'm just messing around for my own amusement really.
