  • They let you race brakeless?

  • Yeah, the time trials I attended are not too serious. Not part of any official cup or anything. They were not too strict about equipment. Of course brakeless is not optimal for the U-turn in the middle of route, kind of difficult to brake optimally if the turning point is not on top of a hill.

  • Currently running 74gi (the same as my road bike) which will obviously need to be increased; an inline seatpost is at the top of the shopping list, followed by something tasty up front and then a Raltech.

  • 10km?? and i thought 10 miles was short!

No, hill climbs, pursuits and kilos are short.

    I am a compulsive liar.

    ^^ lies

  • ^^^ I thought my electrical tape was bad.

    Why 2 brake levers?

  • it's duct, and just so it's symmetrical .

  • I'd put money on my 16-spoke Shimano WH-RS30 being no worse than that 32-spoke crabon wheel.

Also, if you ever want to get 10mm lower at the front, https://www.lfgss.com/thread85022.html

  • "if you ever want to get 10mm lower" so all the time then..
and you're probably right about the wheels

  • Impressive. 104 in a headwind...yummy.

  • Here's mine. Which I haven't ridden in too long, and have never got around to riding against the clock. It's currently in storage and I'm getting pangs :(

He normally runs 114'' fixed and has averaged almost 600 miles a week in March, all on fixed. Machine.

  • To be honest I'm not sure i like the look of them inside a round seat tube

  • ^ Seconded.

Isn't it a bit more complicated, when you take the legs into account: sure I read something about closing the gap between the legs being more effective.

  • Blimey, the Ipswich Star reports 10-mile TTs? Is that a recent thing or have they always done it?
