I've ridden with a drunk person once, and he was weaving around the road a bit, very obviously drunk but that make the motorists more worried about coming into a collison with the drunk guys, and end up giving him plenty of space while overtaking.

It wasn't the most rigorous of studies. I've not looked, but would expect there to be a body of research from Australian institutions, seeing as helmet use is law over there.

My job isn't "driving vans around London" strangely enough. But I think I have a lot more driving and cycling experience in London than you and many others on this forum.

I am happy to read any study of worth and draw my own conclusions to it's relevence, I suggest you do the same. Just because a "study" exists doesn't mean it's worth the paper it's written on.
