Doesn't seem to be specifically written in the rule book but this...
Can you evade the nursery period?
Don't try. Really. It's a public forum which means everyone can see you do it, and if you post 5 meaningless posts in an attempt to sidestep the nursery chances are that someone will report you... when that happens, I will ban that account permanently. You're free to register again, but then you start the nursery again too. So don't try, we're not that dumb and as this is our one piece of moderation it's purposefully harsh, really, don't try.
...gives the impression that it is against the rules

Yes, but Velocio and Hippy are either out partying or they're asleep
Partying first then sleeping together..

Define nursery avoidance?
(sorry - new user trying to find a way out of the 'Nursery).

there is no requirement to stay in the nursery thread though, is there? just to go through a (very brief) nursery period until 24 hours / 3 posts have passed by. no reason why those posts can't be on other threads, so long as they aren't inappropriate/pointless (relatively speaking, considering the content of the forum)
-
• #9332
Yeah... That's what I don't get... How hard is it to find three thread you have an opinion about and post some words?
-
• #9333
Exactly. I didn't post in the nursery thread until I'd been on the forum for 6 months. But then I've been on other forums so know that it's totally pointless to evade something so easy to wait for. I mean, what's 24hrs?
-
• #9334
nah, it's more fun to loiter in the moderators thread
or go and wind up football fans*
*though that is all they do to each other

People end up posting 3 stupid posts normally together in the nursery. I like to quote them as a warning saying they got nuked by the boss.
-
• #9336
i tired quoting a noob, and got banned!
-
• #9337
No
You got banned for quoting spam
Big difference buddy

Are you walking?

• #9341
Yeah... That's what I don't get... How hard is it to find three thread you have an opinion about and post some words?
and if the person has come on here just to buy something what difference does it make if they post 1,2,3 first or give us their insight in to someone's current project?
All the nursery thread seems to do is catch out those people who are not devious enough to hide their obligatory three posts as well as other people do. In other words the people who are least likely to be cunning spammers.
It's actually only a very small number of people who get caught out anyway. I think it's just become sport for a few obsessed individuals. Not naming any chains, of course. -

It's just like the police. If you get caught it's because you were too stupid.
-
• #9343
It's not a sport, it's a way of life
-
• #9344
that's what some people say about fox hunting
-
• #9345
Fox meat tasty?
-
• #9346
It's not a sport, it's a way of life
what is not a sport?
that's what some people say about fox hunting
What is your point about the thing that is not a sport?
-
• #9347
Will, will, will. Look what we 'ave 'ere.
-
• #9348
It's just like the police. If you get caught it's because you were too stupid.
If the fox gets caught its because it was too stupid, if the people hunting the fox get caught its because they were too stupid. ?
-
• #9349
No. Just no.
That has nothing to do with what I said.

"Fox meat tasty?"
Taste a bit like chicken.
Define nursery avoidance? It's not compulsory?
