Bans related to the ongoing cluster fuck of Friday will be handed out in increments corresponding to the fibonacci sequence.

That is, first ban is 1 day, next ban related to the incidence will also be 1 day, then the next is 2, the next is 3, and then they go up pretty fast: 1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34 55 89 144 233 377

Could someone either re-title this thread (http://www.lfgss.com/thread77348.html) to "pedestrian down" rather than "rider down", or remove it altogther.

The first version of the story (which I now can't find in any archives, it was the same link) said that it was a rider killed, but an update has chaged it to a pedestrian on a crossing. Still upsetting, but not a rider down, so knid of doesn't belong here. I don't want to upset people into thinking that there has been another rider fatality when there hasn't if you see what I mean.

I think the thing is we should always wait for 2 sources to confirm a fatality before labeling a thread as such or calling it a fatality in the thread. Early reports are notoriously unreliable.

Message taken, just was so cross about it being at E&C, after Boris's wise words on that roundabout.

And the fact that I was reading the article less than a week after having been hit by a white van, on the bus home and missing the KGX vigil because of that.

Totally accept that I should have waited and investigated more, and will do so in the future.

The moderators thread is closed to new posts so let me ask this here.

Can we please modify the classified rules to cover Wanted posts as well? Currently the rules only apply to stuff for sal whereas some of the Wanted threads are subject to repetitive bumping and generally impatient dickheadedness that would otherwise not be tolerated for anything with a For Sale/Offered prefix.

I suggest that we call this the apolloxl rule.

It's pretty final (unlike Facebook), so I give people a cooling off period because I can't undo it. It deletes the profile and user information, but not your posts. So it also gives you a window of opportunity in which you can still edit any posts that you might want before you lose control of them.

So when I get a request, I just drop it into my Google calendar, and when it rolls around I hit delete. If you're 100% certain and accept points above, I can do it now for you.
