He's been banned for 7 days, not just for the hijack (which we generally ignore) but for just being an idiot in general. The 7 day ban is a tax on stupidity and arrogance.

It does just seem like he's spamming, and he has definitely broken the rules (albeit through the back door), but I think this is more about lack of forum experience than deliberately breaking the rules. Plus what he offers may well be of interest if his prices are right.

Is there anything else we can do to encourage him along the path to enlightenment?

In the "edit post" view my initial post in "this is not the bike I ordered?" displays "evans website" as a hyperlink (to the evans website), yet in the post it shows the full link.

Perhaps this is a stupid question and I don't want to ruin anyone's business. What's the deal with Varno's/V-Sprint wheels, frames, jerseys etc. He's got a full blown website/shop where he sells his merchandise and afaik he doesn't give us a forum discount. Just curious, nothing else.

i think varno is a well known track cyclist, he is on the forum as an individual but also works in the trade

none of this is fact, just what i have assumed from his posts

he does not hide the matter nor has he tried to rip people off or aggressively spam

his website is very recent. Before he was only selling through that thread. And he does give up a discount code.

So all is good, like I said, don't want to stir shit, just wanted to know what the score was.
I'm in the market for a wheel set so might give it a go.
