It's way over the top as a response to your question. I agree with you and was motivated to chime in so you don't appear alone in your opinion. Tester is one of the top posters around here, so I interpret it as humour that didn't hit home.

The title of the tubeless thread was amended to quote tester...

to be fair to tester, he never asked to have a thread named after him, and people come to him asking for fairly basic information. so a bit of frustration is understandable.

Indeed. And apart from the number of fuckings, it was really no different from saying UTFS.

Why has the tubeless thread title been amended?

Posts belong to the author, titles belong to the forum/community.

I edit titles to ensure a consistent standard. This isn't much... usually it's Rider Down titles, once in a while it's nuking an ALL-CAPS that got through somehow (or restoring part CAPS where by someone shouting it's all been lower-cased automatically)... and then rarely, it's to remove offensive terms, vulgar language, misleading advert titles.

Posts I leave, they clearly belong to an individual. But titles I sometimes edit.

Tubeless thread title was the best thing about it.

Any rules on flipping? I mean, I do sometimes get bikes that folks are giving away for next to nothing practically to empty their garages and if not totally my thing I pass them on....for a fair price though. Thoughts?

Forum rule is to expect popcorn if you're taking the piss. Just bringing stuff at a reasonable asking price to the LFGSS crowd which they would not otherwise have seen isn't taking the piss.

If you've got it advertised on other forums or eBay then sure I'll nuke... but otherwise unless you've got proof it's being flipped outrageously, or it is stolen or something... it stays./

Ok, thanks. I apologise, as I fear my understanding of ‘flipping’ is incorrect. Although there is evidence in the above mentioned link that it was bought for a lot cheaper than it is being offered for sale on here for. Is that not ‘flipping’ for profit?
