I was under the impression that the exclusivity rule existed so that if something was advertised on here and the thread was open it’s available. Seemed pretty practical to me.

If you're ignoring someone and they are the most recent poster to a thread, does that thread disappear from your following feed?

No, the thread still appears, just their post doesn't.
You can still see that they posted on the link in the following page but you never see their post when you click through..

But there are hundreds of "open" classified threads going back ten years. Often stuff doesn't sell and a thread sinks down the pages and the seller keeps it or bins it or sticks it on eBay or whatever.

Yeah, I did that in the end. But gifs are simultaneously bigger files and lower quality, so would be better for everyone (people on mobile data especially) if they could see the gifv/webm/whatever
