I understand that perhaps your reading comprehension isn't quite at the level one might expect from a solicitor, say, or a doctor, but surely even you can spot that Velocio said to both you and greenhell that he wouldn't do anything unless the OMGTHREATPM was forwarded to him?

There is a difference between shared and forward to VB. When shared is mentioned there is no clarification and was taken to be with the forum as a whole not with VB.

I don't have access to private messages*. So what I ask is that people share the entirety of a PM they wish to report with me. Then I can produce an MD5 hash of the content, and verify whether that PM exists between the 2 parties.
If I've seen both parties engage in threats then I'll come down on both parties, or ignore both parties (depends on whether a reasonable person would think it petty or seriously threatening). CLP was actually close to doing this recently when he started to try and claim others had harassed him... I didn't point out that his asking people to meet him was a more direct form of harassment in line with how the law views harassment (physical threat) than name calling on the internets.
sphinx sent 2 private messages that both separately could be verified, and both challenged greenhell to a fight.
To my knowledge lynx, you've not reported anything like this.
What you did report yesterday was a single post where your given reason was "Is this acceptable". The post in question did not form a physical threat but certainly was borderline and the person who posted it was asked to make it not be borderline... by either clarifying that it's their opinion (and not a statement of alleged fact), or by withdrawing the statement. The person involved did the former, which is acceptable.
The real problem is always that I can't please everyone, because all sides in a spat are behaving unreasonably and unreasonable people don't accept reasonable actions as the outcome.

OK for clarity - I was not involved with the PM's. I was only sent screen shots by the recipient of the PMs. Hence why I have not reported anything. I asked what the score was. The recipient, was not prepared to share the pm with the forum, as that what he (and i) believed shared ment.
VB- We spoke in PMs about it.

right, so when some weapon signs up and starts flinging shouty-fist PMs about, we should just suck it up and 'ride our bikes'? fuck that. i don't take lightly to being threatened even by some cat 4 internet hard man and will endeavour to have the twat banned for his troubles. you wouldn't put up with that shit down the pub, why should anyone put up with it here?
