From the poloverse... catching your leg on an exposed freewheel? (possibly not safe for weak stomachs)

gah that's rank.
Someone's made a meal of that sewing job. -

That's what I call functional. Certainly not porn anyway

Surprisingly appetizing.

Hey, I wonder what's happening in functional bikes today.....
penetrated by a sharp and ragged snapped carbon seatpost.
Someone cutting my throat?
Knock all of your teeth out on a foot-high spacer stacker
From the poloverse... grim leg woundl?

Can't think of much worse than that.
the carbon fork on my 2015 croix de fer snapping halfway along the south downs way, I get a face full of shards of flint, a separated shoulder, and somehow the snapped fork blade ends up in my perineum.

That must be why there's no carbon mountain bikes out there.

Whoa, just realized there's an active Dangeruss. This just got confusing.

^^ my prejudice is specifically based on previous experience of genesis carbon parts, as detailed above.

I do not remember a Vapour that come with a carbon post, which model year is it?
-

2008:
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/genesis/vapour-2008-cyclo-cross-bike-ec001121I also snapped the handlebars on that bike. Perhaps they were having teething problems as a new company.

A very old carbon seatpost (they discontinued that in 2009), or the previous owner simply didn't look after it properly, seen too many cracked carbon seatpost due to over tighten.

Where are the pictures of the new models coming from? Not their blog?

Gearing advise, please.
My rawland 29" is currently running SS, but I'm looking to get a 1x10 drivetrain. Just unsure what size cassette and chainring to go for.
It's 42x18 now and mostly fine if a bit heavy at times.
Usage will be Copenhagen commuting with the occasional off road detour and sometimes with rather heavy load too.
I'm propably going to get a Wolftooth 110 bcd ring. -

If the 11-32 felt limiting, then a 11-36 would fill the gap nicely.

I think his Rawland is 130mm spacing with a freehub body for 8-10 speed.

actually it's 135mm with a thread on freewheel, but I'm geting a freehub and the ss wheel will go to my brother.
thanks for the suggestion though, W. Preacher.
Eurgh yeah that's bad but I'd still take that over the snapped carbon seatpost.
