That bike needs full suspension to accommodate all the bouncing between threads.

You could try some Crud Road Racer's - they are pretty thin - although not sure how wide your tire is?

It's a 23c on the front.

The CRR should fit but any grit suck could make them explode/shatter

Or id just use some Bluemals and cut it off at the fork/brake area, maybe use the bit you cut off and ziptie or bolt it under the basket.
Also i really like that bike! such a perfect daily

I'm trying to compile a list of touring bikes, or 'cross bikes suited to touring, that take disc brakes and lowrider front racks. Here's where I've got to. Have I left anything out?
Surly Straggler
Genesis Croix de Fer
Genesis CDF
Dawes Galaxy plus / super / ultra
Kona Sutra / Rove
Raleigh Sojourn
Salsa Vaya -

Singular Peregrine. There's a 56cm frame and fork on eBay now if anyone's interested.

Oh that's really nice. I only really have the budget for a second hand, full bike. If I bought that it wouldn't be built in time for this summer's touring.

You can add the Jamis Aurora Elite to that list. I test rode one last year and it felt good for the 15 minutes or so I rode it around London. :/
