Is that lever position sorted on Spotter's Genesis? They look like they're mounted too low.

JB how does it handle with front panniers? Is there a big difference to it unloaded?

Its 50% perspective in that image and 50% that the bars had slipped down a little bit, as soon as I rotated them up it was fixed. I'll do a quick image dump:

I know mine is a higher rack but its the same frame, it handles very well. I did 65 miles the other weekend like this:
The weight was barely noticable

I like the pensive 'gazing out the window' mood shot the best.

a Brooks C17 is pretty apt for this build; also is that tubus fly? And what bag did you get for the front rack in the end?

Me? I wont be getting a c17, that saddle is too damn comfortable as its molded itself to my bum perfectly. I rode it to cambridge with no padding at all and it was like sitting on a sofa, no pressure points, perfect.
The rack is the Vega and I'm getting a bag custom made.

Dangeek, as spotter said, it handles incredibly well. I've ridden with two full panniers and it hardly affects the steering. Visit Skinny's touring current project, he toured fully loaded on a Croix De Fer and rated it's handling in very high regards. Almost fully loaded actually. But almost all of the weight was on the front IIRC.

I've got a wald but not used it in ages, I've pondered about sticking it on the Langster from time to time when I need some extra carrying capacity. Would my carbon fork be alright with a small Wald upfront with a few odd bits like spare shoes etc, maybe a camera bag from time to time?

I seen people use front racks with wounds up, would be fine!

my friend Frans is working on an project together with Bob Jackson, I spoke to him a while ago, discussing the ideas for a very functional, modern yet nice steel randonneur bike. should be interesting...

That's very neat.
Not sure about those midgaurds.

Even less sure about these tyres!
I am loving the rear brake mount, thought I didn't think it was necessary with v brakes.
it is awesome though, really like the red accent.
