  • OK Hive mind of the functional.

I'm looking for a ladies town bike frameset.

I'm thinking hub gears, front rack, full guards, step through. I prefer 26" because she needs a small and 26" looks better in a small.

    Any decent priced suggestions?

    But then, why.....??

  • cs

    ...which you asked for. :)

I'd like that bike a lot more without the colour-coded rack. And why is that bottle cage so high?

  • But then, why.....??

Errmmmm something to do With rolling better, or contact patches, or something.

Really need to spray thoses rims. Too lazy.

    That'll be it :-)

Just realised, you no longer have the forum's smallest 29er anymore*

    *if you ever did.

  • Also, colour-coded racks are nice.

    Jkz rt?

  • I'm thinking of chucking the rack in when I get my pomp resprayed soon.

Banana yellow from nose to tail.

It has been posted earlier in that setup. But with mismatched tyres.

  • Chain on small ring? I won't even entertain the idea of that being a good bike until that clanger's fixed.

I hope someone lost their job over it.

  • 34xXX for offroad innit.

    This isn't the porn thread.

    Check yourself.

  • The carpark build from giant kitchen roll tubes is what should be drawing your attention.

    ;-)

  • are those unusual out there?

    ...but no pedals?

I found it via the British backcountry ski touring Facebook group; daft as it might seem, for anyone who's not come across it already, using a bike to get ski gear up to Scotland's snow line is not an unusual thing.

  • the ski boot binding compatible pedals was delayed in the mail.

  • While I'm in that group, here's a couple of recent dedicated FBNPNA ski tourers from this winter:

ha, yep! that would be ideal... something that clipped into the dynafit tech fittings might work quite well!

  • Are you the first person to acronymise 'Functional bikes. Not Porn not Anti'?

  • Does anyone have a handlebar bag going spare - off touring next week and need one!

Doesn't tick all the boxes but I was really impressed when I built this up in work the other day - there's even a bell integrated into the LH brake lever. http://whyte.bike/2014/product.php?xProd=127&xSec=124

  • Colour coded racks? Reader's wife :-) having a beer in the sun roight now, aaah.
