Sweet thanks

these are the biggest tyres and mudguards I could find. The guards makes it a lot more functional, but also a bit less fun.
It's the bike in the back by the way. should be easy enough to see through the skinny benny.

If we're talking about big guards and tyre: I had some pretty massive guards on my winter bike in Australia. Not sure what they were (unbranded ones I ordered direct from the distributor), but they easily covered Marathon plus ATBs.

Rivendell Atlantis (as they're now called) are awesome bike, I genuinely think they have it spot on as an all round bicycle
www.peterwhitecycles.com/images/products/frames/Atlantis%203.jpgLooks good.
Some other interesting info re builds at Peter whites. http://www.peterwhitecycles.com/atlantis.asp

I love how the two bikes posted directly above are a) from Australia, b) both owners post on Fixed.org.au and c) know each other.

Kaffenback now single speed due to Canti brake damaging the gear cable housing at the head tube. Other option to go back to Mini-V but they interfere with the mudguards.
40x16 makes for about 16 mph at 85 rpm, which is comfy enough around here.

normal v brake + travel agent = clearance solved.

That colourway on the Kaff, plus the non-swappable dropouts makes it so much nicer.

Could you not have front derailleur only? Least it can give you two ratios (if a bit of a big 16t jump!).

This has had me considering a 32/40 flip/flop wheelset for weeks (VS bolt on cog and single speed conversion rear, have a WI "tracker" front hub waiting to be built up), but can't really find 40h rims in Norway. Plus what to do with the front...

^ I was thinking the same thing... also half tempted to pick them up at that price just as a long term investment.
Probably one of my favourite forum bikes.

Do you still have this bike?
Let me know if you ever want to sell it.

Nagging feeling it could be Cannondale before they start making bicycles.
-

Check the flickr, there's no obvious logo (cannondale always made sure they were recognized) and besides, I can't see a nylon bag surviving for that length of time under UV conditions.
