  • Yeah in practice I haven't used it much like that at all really, after I posted that in current projects as my "audax" set up a lot of forumers pointed out that I really wouldn't need a d lock when audaxing really, and rightly so. I took it off soon after.

Put it this way, for the duration of my tour, I have only used a flimsy cable lock with an alarm it.

  • Niice^

Does that rear light have some sort of seat tube braze on to mount it to the frame?

  • yup

  • ^ Nice! Is it yours?

  • Nope, find it on a swedish mtb forum

  • The fucking motherload

  • Not sure what function the top one is supposed to be serving, apart from being lots of fun for blasting along canal paths. The expedition bike, however, is all kinds of awesome.

  • ^^^ nice collection.

Really happy with recent changes to mine, now running Woodchippers, PDW takeout rack, and 700x30 CX Comp tyres.

Makes choosing to ride the trail routes between jobs here a bit more fun / less sketchy.

Only bug is the Velcro on the d lock holder isn't secure enough to stop it rattling on anything but smooth tarmac, buy that's really picky.

    Anyone recommend a FBNPNA Bell?

^jesus that sound, felt as if it was in the room!

  • yeah, phoneternet shrinks pics, will fix later.

PDW bell is one of the options am considering for sure... will check out the crane bell from home later

    Yup, blimey!

  • Ah the Kaff...how is it? I'm considering one for some unknown reason.

I find it great, this one is a few years old, so the frame a bit tired. One day I'll move all the parts to a new frameset, and it'll become a bit like Triggers Broom...

Newer Kaffs have swap out dropouts I think, giving option for geared / ss / fixed...

  • Cranes are really nice, and of course because of the brass they age well too.

  • My recent build - mainly from the bits box, initially inspired by a summer riding to work and back along the canal....now a winter hack:
