So after looking high and low for a fuji feather CX I can't find them anywhere and there is little news on a 2013 model being released.
What would you guys recommend for a single speed CX bike? I don't want to spend mega bucks as this will be the winter bike - used for commuting, town and weekend rides.

Yeah! We had them in not too long ago, though we're sold out at the moment (due to the staff buying them all). We're hoping to get them back in soon but the US distro is also out of stock
Ah great, I don't suppose you could let me know when their back in stock could you? I really fancy one for my new bike, the V/O just don't look as good

Oh dear. This is awesome.

Also, good lord, that bloke's Flickr.

Killing it with the new bar bag on the Surly...
Stop killing it with your bike and build mine!

Pompino?
I like mine.

How much would a complete bike cost?
-
• #2534
at the moment £449
I'd wait until they have one of their silly offers again.

Blimey that's steep.
I'll keep an eye out for a sale - hopefully soon with the 2013 frames coming out.
Are they really heavy? Say compared to a Charge plug?
Part of me is tempted to buy just the frame - as I've already got crank set, bars seat post.
But I guess I'd end up spending that much by the time It's built anyway with wheels brakes and other parts.

Not really, admittedly I have a stupidly light fork on mine.
FWIW, plugs aren't that heavy. Most bikes in this sort of range are of a similar weight, and it's hardly noticeable.
If you want lighter, look for an SS Tricross or similar.

Oh I didn't meant it like that - I had a charge plug before (sold it too small and had knee pain at the time) so a charge is the only thing I've got to compare it too. Well that and my VN Yukon!
Looks like a good choice though - big smiles riding with 32c tyres through winter :D

how about a Genesis Day One cross? I have had one for about 2 years and is excellent, changed to cantis, Randoneurs and a different saddle but the rest is stock and a sweet ride- rack mounts too
-
• #2539
They look good but they're crazy money aren't they?
-
• #2540
mine was under £500 complete, not crazy but I reckon worth it although I did get in on the cycle scheme from work
-
• #2541
Was that under 500 with the c2w discount?
-
• #2542
that was the price a couple of years ago- got them on offer here....

Ridgeback solo looks like another winner but you can't get hold of them for love nor money either.

All-City Nature Boy for £550 complete? Too much?

Woodchippers were £22 in my lbs. They're already on, with new Salsa bartape, and the Takeout rack.
Can't wait to try it in the morning. Have some 700 x 30 cross tyres to put on it also, a winter of sketchy handling fun awaits.
Awful pic in this light...

At the moment sadly too much - I really want it for winter duties this year. As much as I love my Yukon I don't really want to ruin it by riding it all year round.

Keep an eye out for day ones on the bay, don't always go for a lot of money.
-
• #2548
Or even stuff like this slips through...
-
• #2549
How on earth did that go for such little monies?
-
• #2550
That guy must be gutted :(
I had these, they lasted about 2 weeks before falling apart, bits getting in my back wheel, etc. Impossibly poor quality, but very cheap!
