Mentally add GB mudguards and a pizza-rack and you're pretty much up to speed. Obvsl not IG-compatible, but I really enjoy it!
It climbs really well and descends as well and is overall a fun bike to. Set as single speed I'm happy 95% of the time. Have plans to maybe add a 1x6 bar end - setup on the Hope trials hub or maybe going all in and getting the Gevenalle conversion kit for Trp Hylex and getting a new rear wheel.
There's a dynamo light somewhere, but my children keep on wanting care and love so time to tinker is what it is.
Phil EBB is very nice!

Nice. I've got the orange non-single speed version. I keep meaning to try it with drops.
Setup is ugly but works for me. Excuse the carpet. Its going soon.

Are they the Ergon GC1 grips? I just ordered some, how are you getting on with them?

Good so far. Fairly large contact area. I have rheumatoid arthritis (primarily in my wrists) so this is my least uncomfortable 'flat-bar' set up (drops, in comparison, surprisingly comfy when on the hoods - where I spend 95% of the time).
I'm not entirely convinced how much better they are than the GP-1 (I have an old set of these on Mary bars on my pub bike - so a similar setup). But I'm pretty committed to this style of backswept bars so thought I'd give them a try. Plus the sciencey stuff on the ergon website seems genuine.
Cork is nice too. Slightly harder than the rubber but not by much. Hoping they'll be a bit more hard wearing.

Nice - are those the Planet X Jones-bars? Wide drops are nice and works with anything that isn't worse than single track.
And of course, I'm meaning to try mine with risers! -

These are the Alpkit - Fu Manchu's. So essentally the same as the On-One Geoff's but a tad narrower.
Tempted to go back to my Gussett Stash bar as I don't use the loop much. Also have some other options though.

Need a low basket for this, or maybe just a silver rack perhaps?

Wow. Thats early for an MTB. I'm guessing it was 126 OLN?
Looks great. Any pics without all the packs?

This is the best I've got in terms of not having bags on it. It definitely shows how ridiculous the geo is.
I cant imagine it wasn't 126, it came with deerhead stuff stock to my knowledge. But I have no problems dropping this 130 into the frame so I do wonder if it was cold-set at some point.
Also been toying with replacing this with a bridge club, vintage is cool but so are discs...

Get some disc mounts brazed on? Or DIY if you can weld. I'd love to be able to weld. Awesome bike.

I think 1984 was the first year, you have quite a piece of history there.
Any pics of your Swift?
