Is a really nice design. Nothing wrong with 4130.
I'd certainly have one over a Surly, any day.

Other than quite pricey
If you don't need the extreme tire clearance the Albarda frame is 200 cheaper, still takes up to 2.1/50c tires.
aaaaand special price is over, still cheaper though

The plan is do some mid-life touring on it in the year we turn 40 and the extra clearance could come in handy if we decide to go to more exotic/rugged destinations.
Also enough clearance for commuting duties with guards and huge plush tires.

That does look a very sorted geometry and design. Good geo, and decent headtube length. Boost and bolt thru' as well. Id ignore the decals and cope with the slightly more expensive price than alternatives on that basis. The designer is very well respected as well.

Why odd?
Flexy stem on a light-cargo bike is an odd choice.

I'd be surprised if anyone who rides one would notice. Convenience of a height adjustable stem would, I imagine, trump marginal flex.
Its hardly a performance bike.

some bastard beat me to it!
nah, it's a bit different from what I wanted, looks like a VO Piolet which I had (and was ok)
I don't think I'm getting a marino, this year at least... -

I guess it doesn't really matter at the end of the day.
As for adjustability, LvH found a better solution, no doubt more money than Orbea wanted to spend on said bike.

I'm not saying quills are ace or anything.
I've fixed bikes with those adjustable ahead things on. They're usually terrible.
You're right that quills are often on cheapo bikes though. Which is a shame as they can be really nice/good.

My Sabbath Ti tourer got its first proper ride in anger this weekend on a family mini tour of Mull and Ardnamurchan - very happy with it (especially with big bouncy Schwalbe G-Ones) though I took too much luggage.
Also pictured: my girlfriend's dad's amazing modified rack - triangle of box section aluminium with an estate agent's sign for a lid, to put his bag in his wind shadow.

Who is the Urban nerd, and how does he/she afford his/hers rock and roll lifestyle?
And most importantly, why doesn't the nerd by this kind of custom steel from Peru?
Edit: missed the post above

Can I buy the frame for less than 700 bucks though.

That's not how the Radavist / Instagram / Influencers work.

Have you given the Singular Swift v2 any thoughts? I have the version 1 (and have added mounts for rack and fenders, so that it's pretty close to v2). I have commuted on mine for a year and am very happy.
Would have to be bought second hand though
True, but decals and paint can be removed.
