I love mixte's. I notices the soma ones are on ebay for ~£250 (f&f).
Any idea of pricing on these?

on the linus? it was £585 w/ 8 speed shimano nexus hub, schwalbe tires, 4130 chromoly f&f, rack, kickstand, leather saddle / grips, etc.
Ours was knocked down due to ex-demo and a couple of chips on the frame.
I reckon that's very good value compared to pre-built examples with lesser components from charge / pashley etc.

Price seemed fine, I think on par with the Bobbin Bicycles Mixte (could be the same frame).

ok for punctures?

Have been riding mine for a while, if you're not those kerb-hugging cyclists who think bicycle belong in the gutter than the road, shouldn't be a problem.

lol, thanks, i can't remember ever getting a curb puncture but i've picked up enough from potholes, glass, and bastards that threw a box of tacks in front of a bus stop, to fear more than just curbs on these scandalous streets :)

not curb punctures, but debris tend to be found largely near the kerbs, henceforth.

For Scoble has decreed it, from henceforth debris will be found mostly near the curbs.
Finally found the perfect functional bike for my other half. It's a Linus Mixte with 8 gears (Nexus hub). Beautiful finish, belies its weight on the road, comfortable to ride, versatile.

(pic is on richmond overground platform and that's me dicking around with the brakes)
Rack that it comes with arrives this week.
The chap that we bought it from is going to be importing these in bigger numbers to quite a few shops this summer. They might change name as apparently there's a clash with a European component manufacturer of the same name.
The company is from LA, started by a couple of film studio guys.

Genuinely chuffed with this bike and its made me realise how uncompromising / impractical / uncomfortable my dolan fixed commuter is. Roll on that tourer build!
