Looks fun for mucking about in the city
I rather like this too -

Not sure if serious. What's next, butterfly bars?

Me the same... Why are most of them so heavy? My "functional" bike is heavy, but not to that extent! My last bike that was that heavy was my supermarket hi-ten frame MTB from when I was a teenager.

I've ridden a few Cubes in the past and they were almost as bad as their after-sale dealer support.
Their owners always think their bike is great value though, which is rather funny. -

The owner are usually people who aren't cyclists, just people who ride a bike.

Saw this in the flesh tonight and very nice it is too... 650b, couplers and over sized head tube that allows you to change the effective head tube angle by a few degrees (don't know the technical name) hand made by a Manchester friend

Serious question, why does it have the head tube angle changer thing option? I've not seen that before.

I guess to change the handling loaded/unloaded.... And quite possibly just because he could as an experiment...?

Usually they are seen in MTB's to change the handling a bit

On the subject... Thought the trail-side head angle adjustment was pretty cool...

Loving that. But would look better with less swept back bars.
-
• #12445
That's an awesome idea.
edit: do you know if he has plans to put this in to production on any scale?
-
• #12446
I want dat.

I'm not sure, i know he did build a couple of frames for people doing a long distance tour at the beginning of the year, he normally runs a mobile bike mechanic service http://www.revolvemcr.com
i'll get some better photos of it loaded up with custom rear rack and gorilla cages if i can....

I mean its basically a Thorn Sherpa, you could easily replicate it with a early MTB.
-
• #12449
Yep, I prefer something closer to a 45º sweep.

I'm planning on building something like that in the future. :)
