Driving around the country picking up deals from jumbles then selling them on here = a service saving a lot of people time and effort.
Sitting on your computer having stuff sent to you then selling it on via the forum = very different. -

I beg to differ, when buying off a forum you often have to collect yourself/ pay postage costs, how is it different? It doesnt save people time or effort?

To get good things at a jumble you need to be there bright and early, and it's usually out in the sticks

how is it different?
1) plan trip to jumble, get up really early, drive car (if you can), spend £n on fuel, get home maybe mid afternoon, possibly with a rusty Carlton if you're lucky
2) buy something online, pay over the internet, wait a few days, walk maybe 10 mins to the post office -

@cyclotron it is different because pple on the forum sell stuff for much cheaper than anywhere alse because they think they are selling it to someone who is going to use the item for his/her own bike not to sell somewhere else with a profit. my 2 cents

Definite difference between aggressively boosting prices on stuff bought from within the site/community and trying to re-sell at a profit and finding stuff yourself and selling on because you don't want/need it.
I've sold a couple things on here at a lower price than i'd expect to get on the bay or elsewhere for the fact I knew folks would dig the chance to get em and it saved me the hassle or listing them on ebay and paying for the service. Only once have I seen the item re-sold at a profit and I won't be selling to that guy again.

Dear Jonny:
2. *** Belm ***
buy belm mugs, tshirts and magnets
A conversational retort born in the 80's (Via UK kids show Blue Peter in conjuciotn with spastic Joey Decon)
The "belm craze" spread quickly between all children from 5-55.The Phrase is pronounced towards one who you are mocking or generally disagreeing with in conversation.
The word "belm" is pronounced by inserting ones tongue between the lower front teeth and lower front lip and pronouncing the word "belm". The "lm" aspect of the word can be "held" for many seconds for great effect; EG: Belllllllllllmmmm". The pronunciation can vary in tone depending on how "spazy" one wants to make the respondent think of the power of the "belm". EG: One could choose to "beeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllmmm" at the respodent via the above proper method.
For added effect to a belm it is normal to rub ones hand up and down along the enlarged front lip area or to slap it in case of greater insult to be conveyed.
One on one contact: One could also choose to do the belm but only utter the sound "mmm" with the tongue stuck in belm position, this is a subtle but thorough belm and should not be disregarded as a poor belm, it is damning. This is the ultimate close contact personal insult. Don't do it unless you really dislike them.
Yours,
The Oregon Dungeness Crab Commission

Rau, thing I want to know is are you really making enough money doing this to justify the deception/hassle/damage to your rep?
You'd surely be much better using your time to learn a skill that will earn you more and allow you to appreciate cycling as a hobby without the money factor added in?

wait and all new members are now jonnyraus? im simply stating a point.
Surely, the above is the posting of the year !!! Of course, the answer in that instance was yes !!!
Oh, the irony !!!
The 'downside' of booting jonnyrau off the forum is that it must be possible/likely that he will return in yet another incarnation.
all new members are now jonnyraus? - well, I'm afraid to say, I'll be viewing all new members with a degree of caution from now on. So, I suspect, will many other members.
Can any of the (dwindling band) supporters of jonnyrau, tell the forum just **why **anyone should need to have more than one username on this forum ? How many is it now ?
Well done 'The Bonk' !!!!!!!
