  • You should record these phone calls you are having with paypal so you have a catalog of evidence regarding the total inconsistency and bullshit they have been giving you. Will come in handy if you need to escalate things in the future.

  • anyone had dealings with @Mirky87? I paypalled him (as Friends and Family, my bad) £40 three weeks ago and haven't received anything, despite a bunch of messages and an excuse about his intern.

  • They have been mentioned several time in the past 5 years, I forget where.

  • Why did you pay through friends and family, did he ask specifically? Im sure paying an extra £1.60 through goods,etc is not a massive deterrent

    Perhaps his intern is rubbish, but then what is he doing giving personal posting duties to his intern? Not the best "work experience" I can think of.

    I'm trying to think what other routes do you have - Is there a governing body who regulates Paypal?

  • What was the reason for your claim/appeal being denied?

  • @Pifko rang them again this morning (forgot to record it again.. Though I think whenever you talk to them on the phone, the operator adds notes on what they and I have discussed), once again they said I should of won the appeal. They said they are going to pass it on to one of their managerial staff who will sort it. They said they'd call or email me later today but so far I've had nothing.

    From what they are saying, I should definitely be given my money back, and the appeals team are missing something or just fucking up. It'll probably just be a back and forth until it's finally closed in my favor.

    @farewell all it says is that they were unable to track my shipment, which is crap because every single person in the claims department has been able to go online and see that it has been in customs for a month.

  • I'm exhausted just reading all your efforts. Hope it comes out in your favour quickly, they should be paying extra for the epic pain in the arse it's been.

  • Record people's first and lasts names, who you speak to. Ask their direct managers first and last name, record it. Ask the claims department people's names. Find them on LinkedIn connect with them, send them message this is such and such, we talked, nothing happened. Ask them what's next. Send them all daily messages. Find FB and LinkedIn pages for PayPal and post daily questions and status updates. Create a fucking buzz, this ain't gonna happen through lfgss exclusively

  • Stop talking only to first line support. Their job is to tell you same thing over and over to keep you down. Speak to second line, claims dept, managers. As I think TM said, make it a problem for them, don't be fucking nice boy! Ask for something to happen WHILE YPU HANG ON THE LINE. I mean, they were already kicking you back n forth for weeks. Make it personal, say you need this 500 quid for such and such and they specifically - call them by name - are not letting you have it and they need to fix it while you're on the line. Don't give up for the same shit over and over

  • Some sound advice here, I'm far to nice haha it's my downfall.
