  • Jonnyrau, taking items for free from one forum claiming that he will find a use for them, and then selling them on here. Not to be trusted.

  • Buy cheap, sell high.

    Good business sense me thinks.

Not when others were queuing up for these parts which they needed.

  • not exactly doing anything wrong, and have stopped doing it...

Your quite right you did nothing wrong, but why not freecycle them if you were not using them,or maybe freecycle something else now you know what a twatty thing that is to do.

  • yup i think i might do that! got lots of shit lying around

  • Good on you

  • hadnt meant to get on the bad traders list, dunno how ive been mentioned on here twice already!

  • Kingcutter speaks the truth. Technically no it is not wrong...... but then marrying your cousin isn't technically wrong either, yet we all know it isn't right

  • give it a rest jesus,

  • fuck you, Jesus

  • Speaking of Fuckers, Roland (Steelisreal) took £200 of my money for 2 months I then found the bike I had bought split up and sold on Ebay while he still had my money.

He must've thought he could get more for it on Ebay (which he did) and just 'forgot' to send it to me. Do not ever deal with a company called Corporate Ascents or a seller called 'Bikeretrovint' (100% positive feedback my foot)

Roland Clarke I hope a monster truck runs over your house (when you are not in it of course)

Quality, not quantity biatches!!! Ok, that made no sense at all...

  • Marcho, Did he ever refund your dough? ( I would have wanted interest) if not buy a buyer collects item off him, go round and d-lock him and not a forgetaboutit,he's a pussyhole. Thinking about setting up a revenue collection service for the forum. too many nice guys on here.

  • someone let me know if i'm out of line in bitching about this:

    ad was placed - http://www.lfgss.com/thread48473.html
    i dibs'ed and PMd
offered to transfer a holding deposit as it would be a while before i could get up to nottingham to collect/pay as well to cover the time during the usual transfer of funds from high interest savings rigmarole. holding deposit would keep bike for me and assure seller that i would actually go through with the transaction. 100quid so not an amount you'd walk away from.
no reply was recieved to my PM or the subsequent two follow ups.
the thread has not been updated to indicate that the item has sold.
so just silence from the seller.

i think it's a bit shit to advertise an item/take up space on the servers/waste potential buyer's and observer's time with ads which are then abandoned.
i hope that package is ok and the apparent abandoning of his ad isnt due to something unfortunate on his end.
if he is ok though it would be good if he would close the thread and indicate item sold or withdrawn.

package - not a bad trader as such as no trade took place, but dude - where the fuck did you go?

    am i just being churlish?

Hey...if you read the thread...? he had advertised the bike to pay his rent...which is heart breaking...he dropped it to a really silly price to sell it quicker...and you ask him to hang on a week or three whilst you get money from your high interest super saver we'll kick your arse around the park and scream and moan if you pull it out to quickly like a virgin on a first date account...
rather than be rude to you...he just didn't answer, which is valid option. I have bought loads of things here, and have let some people down. Partly due to me having a really bad short term memory (fractured my skull when I was 16) which is exacerbated by weed smoking, and if i don't deal with things immeadiately or write them down ...they just drift off into the ether, as a general rule I don't do too bad...though some people I have pissed off and not intentionally either, just circumstance really.
Anyhow...was just putting his side of the story down in case he found his rent money and didn't have to sell his 'pride and joy' and all is well with the world and he's been riding soo much he forgot all about his ad?

  • +1 Wingedangel, well said again. People change their mind, I was offered a bike a couple of weeks ago now the guy has had some other offers, he wants more. Fair enough that's life if I want it enough and have the money great, if not bad luck too me. the cycle of life :)

  • A wheel of fortune?

  • I'm tyred of that too, it can really brake your heart. It's worth bearing in mind if you crank up the price you could be saddled with debt.

  • wingedangel. you're missing the point by a mile.
i dont care that he may have decided not to sell the bike. in fact if he found some other way to pay his rent then good for him and he gets to keep his bike. this would be a nice outcome.

    my point is this:

    advertise goods for sale

    recieve offer from potential buyer

respond yes or no to offer
    or
notify all of withdrawal of items

placing an ad inviting buyers to bid then ignoring their responses is simply rude.

also, what is it about my savings account that riles you up so much? i assure you it isnt stuffed full of of unearned trust fund money. i only mentioned it because the time penalty for withdrawal is relevant to the offer i made.

hey ...Cowboy...calm the fuck down? You are missing my point also....I wasn't even making a point to counter act yours...I was simply adding a scenario...it may be bollocks...who knows or cares...I do not.

Nothing riles me? I was simply saying that...he wanted a quick sale, you asked him to wait...not what he wanted really either ...is it?

he was selling his bike to pay the rent...not a pleasant situation...and and and and?

    what?

He hasn't answered you. and? thats life. and who mentioned a trust fund? I didn't ...my comment was about the state of banking not your parents wealth? I commented on the high interest 'we'll make you fucking pay for asking for it too soon' mentality that is the only way you are going to make any interest on any of your hard earned money...anything that isn't locked in for about five fucking years pays about .025% anyway...

having to sell your wheels to pay the rent is rude too...? maybe he'd rather forget all about it for another 4 weeks until he might have to sell the fucker again?

life is shit...you missed a bike...you will live...he keeps his bike for a month...we all keep breathing air...

Please...it's not a huge deal, you're pissed off, though hey, lets keep things in perspective ok?

  • Jonnyrau......recently begged for a dawes galaxy for his little brother on this thread
    http://www.cyclechat.net/topic/65961-free-dawes-galaxy-swindon/

    Look what is for sale
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dawes-Galaxy-Reynolds-531-Bike-/170534710168?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item27b4a92b98

Second time he has been caught doing this. Not to be trusted in the slightest

  • NOTHING TO DO WITH ME! I no longer have the bike. I gave it to my brother for free and have told him he shouldn't list it otherwise he gets me in this kind of shit!

  • What a cuntish thing to do. Judging by the short guy in the picture... he knew he wasn't going to fit it anyway.

    WAC

  • jonnyrau - that's the second time you've been on this list in very short order, twice on the same page only 3 days apart.
