Sounds good!
Joe, I do make them every now and then, hence if you fancy some I will drop you a message the next time I have a pot ready. The rice is no secret, but the sambal and condiments and side dish which goes with it takes some preparing (rendang, curry or ayam masak merah).

So KC makes a mistake, admits it and is forgiven and I get burned every time.
You may find the clue in A,and you get burned every time, which suggest you have done it more than once plus I never actually sold anything, and made another contribution to the forum.

What Balki said.
It appears you weren't soliciting a bidding war, weren't sure what to do and asked "what do i do?". As for publishing PMs. FFS. They hardly contain personal, detailed information do they?
Nor do they bind one bidder into buying. It's generally how you'd trade in person. Somebody walks up says "iliketobuy, here is my bid", second person arrives 10 seconds later "i tooliketobuy, here is bid of same value". You'd say "sorry, this bloke was here first".
If second person says "ibidmore" (unsolicited) then you haz auction. If not, you say, "sorry, he was here first mate".(of course, if you're manipulating the messages etc, we'll burn you)

"Oh yeah, that's it, he's your mate!"
No. 1, we're all friends here. We all stick up for each other, mostly. That again is the point. You saying this
Should I sell the frame to the first bidder or let them send me a private bid, highest wins.
is the point.
You're making this worse for yourself. Could have just said, Sorry, I should have listened to you all when you told us how this forum is, instead of being super defensive.
And then you publicise something for the third time after you've been asked not to.
It didn't have to be a big deal and could have been resolved in this thread rather than cross posting everywhere.
It's a shame because you have some nice frames.
I'm sure someone will still buy it. -

Buyers offering more than was asked. Shitty behaviour.

@Wicksie - Please bro your bias has been clear throughout due to your failure to understand the order of events.
Your claiming to be some captain of forum justice, but your not being fair to me, or to other users who have cancelled bids due to this which hunt.I will spell it out one more time for you:
No1 posted this........
I have two buyers who have both PM'd me with in a couple of minute of each other, roryeaglestone and Mr Brown.
Should I sell the frame to the first bidder or let them send me a private bid, highest wins.
Whats fair?
I will make forum donation when sale goes through.
Thank No1Then No1 leaves the thread and composes two PM's for buyers like this ( I leave roryeaglestone to be responsible to post the near identical PM I sent to him )
No1 PM Reply:
Hi Mr Brown,
I have two buyers, please see the thread for my response.
I have asked the forum If I should seller to the first bidder or let you both send a private bid, highest wins.
Genuinely don't know correct etiquette is for this.
Friday is not a problem if your good for your word.
Frame is in SE1.
Thanks No1I return to the thread see comments ( that I have ask for, in a direct request for advise )
and respond that I will sell to the first bidder, and now I know, I won't do it again. The only ignoring of advise which I did not do, could be suggested due to me posting:
"Thanks for that soperRiva, can a forum mediator please confirm this position for me."
..... I don't know responder personally and don't know if they have a vested I interest, so I ask for a second opinion? The rest of the posts do no suggest I want to ignore advise given.....

Thanks to everyone for all your feedback. I could not find anything concrete about what to do when, as in this case to buyers where both offering on the frame within minutes of each other....
I will not pretend that I was not seeing if one buyer was willing to pay more than the other, when that it is obvious :-)
....But I did make my position clear and asked for informed feed back about what was consider fair by the forum.
I do have plenty stuff to sell and would like all buyers to be very pleased with there dealings with me....
I appear to have unfortunately upset Mr Brown the first bidder with my conduct during this auction.

As you said nothing concrete in writing. I did read the guidelines before I started selling but now I have been told it won't happen again.

Thanks for that Jeez,
I feel no guilt at all for asking if it was ok to ask the two bidders to blind bid to see who wanted it more....
But am happy obviously to stick to the rules!!
For me its like this:
I put the price for a quick sale, I know what I paid and the value of the frame - £150 Ebay easy, it a great conversion of a good steel frame you know!
I have not made a mistake and suddenly want to up the price.
I know the value of my stuff, thanks.
I was asking for a single blind bid of what the buyer would pay, not an auction.
Anyway the frame is still selling because Mr Brown did like the fact that I used his name on the thread when he was bidding blind and had not post on the thread.
A point I am accepting although I don't understand it myself.
roryeaglestone has not come back to me, but he may be busy and have not looked at the forum since.
He has first dibs
.........But I would like any other people who are interested to know the frame may still be available.
To recap, I will stick to the rules now I know them, but my conscience is clear over my conduct including using that name.
No offence, but you clearly were not ever that serious about buying it to have let this get in the way of a good sale.
Thanks No1"I feel no guilt at all for asking if it was ok to ask the two bidders to blind bid to see who wanted it more...." - Before knowing forum etiquette - But am happy obviously to stick to the rules!! - How much more do you want me to make it?
@Wicksie & Balki - At this point the only non malicious mentioning of Mr Brown are to name him as possible buyer and then to say terms agreed.
When I get this PM from Mr Brown:
I think you should refrain from quoting and commenting on private message conversations and deals in a public forum. After seeing the thread I was about to withdraw my interested. Then I wake up again and see you've said that you've accepted my offer. Now it's on a public forum you could say I'm obliged to pay? I'd rather not. Not trying to be awkward could you please contact Rory and see if he would like the frame still.Seeing the thread I clearly asked him to look at before proceeding!
......Then I go back to this his first message:Mr Brown PM#1 @22:28:
Hi, I'll take the bike if you can wait until Friday as it's pay day and right now I simply don't have the money? Does it need to be posted or are you in London? Please let me know.I believe at this point Mr Brown never had the money, did not follow the thread and is now sending me a rude PM about a situation of his making.
( He could of said something like: Realised money is tighter that I though, what with Xmas coming and all and my mum won't lend me anymore cash to buy bikes.... I really should get a job and stop living out of other people pockets.... could you offer the frame to the other person - I would have said no problem! )
Now I Post...........

(^new mention malicious of Mr Brown^, maybe that is because he has now caused loads of grief over something he could never afford to buy)Question: Would anyone serious about buying this frame fork and headset for this great price pulled out because of this^
Answer: No and now I am dealing with added difficulties making sales for more stuff you can't afford!@Coventry Eagle you where wrong to put this here on this thread, you told me to learn to read but just reading carefully through the original thread it is easy to see I am not being crafty.
......Please could you refrain from posting on my new unconnected for sale threads about me going on fishing trips and other unhelpful bitch remarks. -

Dibbed an item on here, pm'd member, told him I'd come and collect whenever/wherever and to let me know, he replied sure it's yours no problem. I asked for a collection time/place and heard nothing... 2 days later got a pm saying he'd sold it to someone else who was picking up another item from him. Fuuuuuuuuuu
Buying and selling on here is becoming a pain in the arse as people are not backing up what they say. It's a fucking honour system people, which means it needs some honour.

still you.
Look, I gave you the advice, you didn't listen- I told you exactly what would happen- and it has, so I have little sympathy for you.
If you hadn't asked who'd've known, so realistically, you knew you were being cheeky otherwise why ask?
I don't really care about this at all, btw, but calling someone you don't know a bitch is COMPLETELY out of line, so please reconsider your actions.
