Get a fuckin plate you scruffy cunt!
More importantly, what are those 3 fluorescent white bits at 9, 10 and 11 o'clock?
It's a muthafuckin plate. The pizza was huge.
That's what I thought. Insufficient base?
Another's cooking now. Max's having some.
Hang on, you got Max round there?
U know that bit when u roll the pizza, and threw it in the air?
Well...there u go, i do not master it.Apparently so.... he smelt my pizza in whitechapel.
U Bin Scobled?
He's a right ponce!

Nuknow, do you heat up the passata before putting it on the base or straight from the bottle?
I find that when I pour it straight from the bottle the base gets real soggy. -

Tip I got from a chef (i have never followed up on this), was to get a piece of granite or mable and use that as a shelf in the oven for stone baking.
-
• #546
So be it... won't take long to get one now.
-
• #547
^^
yep thats basically the same thing, you put the granite slab in a cold oven and let it heat up with the oven, then slide the pizza on. Aroogah is king of the pizza stones - he convinced me to buy one. -
• #548
PIzza stones are awesome, but I've heard the granite thing also, it'll just be f'in heavy...
-
• #549
also bear in mind it will be really fucking hot, essentially a fire brick - so you wont be able to pick it up with standard oven gloves when its hot
I have a little metal rack thing that fits around mine so I can get it out the oven. But I'm sure you can freestyle something or alternatively leave the slab in there and make a wooden paddle thing so you can just slide the pizza in. -

That's exactly what I have. I think it was a tenner. Probably more expensive than a slab of granite but probably weighs 1/4 as much and heats up faster too. If you're cooking for just a few minutes it wont have time to shed all that heat. I do want a peel.
