Personally I think we should have allowed Cambridge in last year (and voted as much)... But iirc the vote was pretty heavily against allowing teams from out of London.

So I wouldn't get your hopes up!

Me and Cambridge gabes want to play in the winter league, I reckon we could get a couple of extra players down when required of us. We love polo and we would commit to it. Bogey

As mentioned I think it would be great to see some non london teams in the league. But I can not help feeling that it would be more beneficial to to both manchester and cambridge to build a league of their own, no matter how small.

We have 2 and a Half teams and not enought week in week out regulars to for any sort of league...

Things will not develop any further if the best players are off galavanting in London. But it is your scene, and you guys are much more aware of what it good for cambridge polo than me.

people, Felix is a good player, this last two days he has benn playing really well
some one should sign him up quick

I think him and John H spoke about a beginners team. They both have great potential IMO.
Might be a couple of those if the league is divided this time round.

Yeah, Venn, Felix and I played together on a team at the beginners session last week, and it worked really well. The big problem is that Venn and I are both Easties, and Felix is deep West, which will make training a bit of a problem. Also Felix said he might have someone else he wants to play with and 2+2 != 3. But we will see, I would certainly love that as a team.

Any news on if there will be two leagues or not? This may make a difference to noobs teams joining in.

no news without someone writing proposals for how the league should run, and then holding a vote on the options.

At the moment, it's not looking like there will be many more teams that the last season, so I don't see a need to split it.

What happened to your you/partner/flatmate team?

They're not keen on a one division league as it wouldn't be skill level matched. Not in an arsey way and they're happy to throw in / occasional tourney, but 3 months Vs 3 years in experience wouldn't be fun for anyone.

listen, I did not say it WILL be a one division league, i merely said that it might not be necessary in my opinion. My opinion doesn't mean any more than any of yours, as we will have votes about all of this stuff in due course.

I'm planning to start writing some plans for the league straight after the london open, and then consulting via the LPC forum, holding votes on a lot of stuff. We'll see how it turns out then.
