  • Im gonna ditch the next season and concentrate on other things. Should be an eciting winter looking forward to see teams develop. Of course will sub for any team that'll have me.

Don't be such a pussy Ray, you love the league.

There's still good players out there...

  • Ryan is looking to play in a team for the league and is an awesome player.

  • Was chatting to Ryan recently and he said he really weanted to start playing again. He didn't mention playing the league but that would be sick. He has awesome bike control and damn is he fast.

  • How would people feel about netto joining the league if we could play our games at w'ends? I can drive down and it doesn't cost much in petrol if the other superstars pay up.

  • we're kind of a london team anyway, extremely north london :D

  • I think that is a great idea.

  • ^ No league team / no chat.

  • Why don't Netto just move to London, problem solved?

We had a massive discussion about this last year re: Cambridge teams, and i seem to remember the general opinion being that the logistics weren't feasible, even with all teams living in the same city look at how the league dragged on this year!

  • Is there a chance it could be feasible if we can commit to showing up at an agreed time/place?

  • Chan, move you massive wanker. You're never going to get good playing in the north.

Seriously though, it was discussed last year and the general feeling was that it wouldn't work out as not all players can play weekends, not teams can all play the same day of any given weekend and various other reasons.

Additionally, following on from the farce that was the tail end of this league, I'd be pretty keen on setting up official league slots with stricter penalties (any game not finished in the time frame is forfeited)and actually enforcing it this time around.

That said, who am I to piss on your parade, just be aware that you may not be able to play all of your games on a weekend slot.

As an aside, this would have the advantage of not encroaching on pickup nights, something which I think all teams were guilty of last season.

  • Further additional musings; If you can make it work and everyone accepts it I look forward to seeing Los Conos beating you.

  • Last year it was voted as london teams only, just the logistics are a nightmare. But if you're prepared to make the travel arrangements, they go for it IMO.

  • well if we can play games either sat/sun then i'm sure we can make it work. I'll just drive down friday night. So who has the final say like? Who organises the fixtures?

  • no-one as yet. Last year, we had a long series of online votes about rules, conduct, fixture releases etc, then i set up the site, and fixtures were released week by week. This year, I'll probably do the site again I guess. But we need to change a few things. The league overran by two month dues to people being slack, scared of rain, scared of snow, lazy, busy, whatever. I want to have a clause this year that fixtures must be played within the 2/3 week window, else nil-point.

  • First we must vote on everything under the sun. this is london my friend etc etc

  • food for thought then? Let me know if you think it could work

    I concur.

  • time for a national league as well as a London league?

  • we vote, because it's fair.

why people complain about opportunities to vote I will never know. I have made quips in the past about the numerous polls, but tbh I think it's great. We shouldn't stop voting.

  • Can we vote on that?

  • just us?

  • time for a national league as well as a London league?

It's hard enough getting northies to west London, how do you think you'll get them to Glasgow?! :)

  • well regardless of how lazy anyone else is we're prepared to travel to london to play in the league, if this is possible then great, if not then no big deal
