Whirlwind TourThursdays,1830hrs for 1845 departure at the large gate opposite York Bridge, Inner Circle. Then up and out for some anti-clockwise Outer Circle fun.
20mph+ average, but if you can't hold on, worry not! Form your own little train for light relief. Lap times are between 7:00 and 8:00, with a possible slow lap/rolling rest after the first 4. Stop after 8 laps/22 miles. Or earlier, if you're a slacker (no shame in that). A little bit of a rest, then off to LMNF for recovery.- upstart

I shouldn't think there is a problem with going over numbers...people will probably drop off into slower bunches anyway (me included).
As long as 6pt doesn't end up towing more than 9 I think we can be trusted to sort it out ourselves :)

This got busy fast!
I'd be happy doing turns at the front, but if it's a 6pt group then I doubt I'd have the pace.
It would seem sensible to try to split the list to a fast-pace group and a medium-pace group, since that's surely what will happen on the night and the ResponsibilityCap thing is fairly meaningless.
Just a list-organisation observation rather than a dig at anyone btw.

Same here. If I can keep pace, I will take a pull. Whichever group I end up in.
Whats the point in splitting groups? The split will happen naturally.
6pts line of responsibility is probably there to avoid him being responsible for causing obstructions etc. It would be a nightmare with 20 people in a bunch on the outer circle for all manner of reasons.
Each group must be sensible about size out of consideration for other road users and peds.

Rulez are - just turn up. If youre late, catch up. Try to hang on. If there are 40 chasing 6pt, it will make him work harder the lazy bastard
-
• #898
Yeah, exactly, I guess I'm saying that I think that the list so far contains a fast group of about 3-4 and a medium group of the rest. Just speculative though. Anyhow, gotta do some work!

Aaaagh! Big fat monkey bollocks! I'm out. Dinner with my (hopefully) new ladyfriend. I'm torn but no contest I'm afraid. Will head to RP on Wednesday after work and hammer out some laps to see what I'm made of. Next week...next week...

Next week I'm down in Dorset, but will be doing an hour of power round the local TT course in honour of you London folk. Not that it should stop you all turning up and going round in circles.
^^No Spinacis. I'm happy to embrace the wind*.
^ Oh yeah, nice to meet you too.
*actually, I did think about cutting down the bars from their stock 52cm width, but it's not possible due to the tapered clamping area / controls / blah.
