it's not too late! (good job on the list sorting)

• #678
If I finish work early tomorrow I could make this. Probably won't happen but you never know

If you turn up at any time before 7:45, sit in one place and wait approximately 7 minutes, you'll catch us :)
Reminder to everyone (mainly me)
Sundown is at just past half 7, so you'll need lights to get yourself home safely. -

I want to be in for this, but I feel tired already and it's not even tomorrow yet. More importantly, I am going to have to work late. Perhaps next week!

Alternatively, start a lap clockwise and you should meet within 3.5 mins.
I might not make 6.30, but hopefully see you there.

Going to be tight to get there for 6.30/6.45, but will should be with you within a lap or 2. Legs are shot from 2 runs this week (first for 7 weeks) so should be interesting.
And that's my excuse in early if I'm struggling!

Mine is that i dont know how to ride a bike
-

I put the mudguards on the fixed last night, checked everything on it was ok, and then rolled out of the house this morning on gears. so there. dead legs though, massive struggle to get in.

I have the wrong socks on
-
• #686
I've got those weird socky overshoe things, making my sock choice irrelevant (and hiding my ugly-as-hell shoes in the process)
-
• #687
"I had the wrong socks on" was a serious excuse given by a club mate once.. he did a bad TT time, for him, and said his socks distracted him...
-
• #688
I'm with him, seriously! (Although I might try to avoid "bad sock choice" as my main excuse)
-
• #689
he did say it was a bottom of the bag excuse but I do sympathise. I once wore a pair of white socks and it really did distract me..

my legs feel shit today, looking forward to seeing you guys lap me.

Same here. Maybe it's something in the air? I had nothing in my legs first thing. Nothing.
I am also rolling on gears by the way.

So is just me on fixed? 72" could be interesting with most people on gears...
-
• #695
I'll be on fixed and about the same gear inches.
-
• #696
ditto upstart
-
• #697
im fixed. No idea what my gearing is other than i have a 17 on the back. Fuck knows the front.
-
• #698
meh I should have gone fixed then :( will do next week. If I get out of work early, I'll nip home and swap bikes.
-
• #699
Christ, I definitely need to put a bit more effort into my new bike!
I'm currently considering completing this evening's circles carrying a box of M&S tuna salad.

Is this turning into the 'recovery riders' thread?
See you out there tonight boyos. Smooooooth runnings on the new 'mac!
Got your back Thomas
Oh, and I went to the pub instead of changing gear. Will be on 85" tomorrow. Fail.
