  • …or a mobility FEB™.

    (aaaargh, paradox)

  • I would pedal, also.

    Rumbled :(

(hour session, but will be simulating stopping for traffic lights. it's important to keep these things authentic.)

  • Tonight is all about gearing

    up for autum and winter.

The thread with same name deserves a bump as well. http://www.lfgss.com/thread28384.html

  • Christ I hadn't even noticed it was a Thursday. Once I get an Exposure Max Joystick in I'll be all over this again, honest.
(This evening's cycling forfeited for some Beef and Ale Casserole. Bit longer than an hour, less power, but super tasty. Maybe I'll spin while it bubbles.)

  • you can borrow my rollers if you want ... that way you can spin while you cook.

  • My turbo will see me through :) Apple pie and custard for dessert too. An evening of excess. Yum.

  • session of tedium today, anyone?

  • Tempted. But not that tempted.

  • I'm aiming to be doing this daily at the moment, so if anybody wants in let me knowwww

  • Today? Soon? I can leave work at 3.

  • Alas just done today's. If you're keen for tomorrow just name a time :)

  • Boss man back tomorrow = less freedom, but I'll try. Anyways, you'd be absolutely lapping me.

  • Crikey, well done for getting out there. Lunch break ridin'?

  • lots of time on my hands at the moment combined with a sudden realisation that I'm rather unfit = providing structure to my days by hour of powering (possibly with some afternoon cadence turbo stuff if I clear the todo pile), at least until some of the speed comes back.

Anyways, you'd be absolutely lapping me.

This is unlikely, my current averages are a little ...off.

    dibs

  • I'm rather unfit

    You crack me up.

Flexi time combined with unfitness and a boss who wants to know what I want in the next few months in exchange for being got rid of means I may be up for some lunchtime hours of power. Plus the thought of going round RP in the dark is too depressing, so let me know if you've got more planned.

  • unfit? you don't even know what that is ... I AM UNFIT!

  • Unfit is a relative term, which can mean relative to oneself. I believe 6pt, even if you lot are doubters. But doing unrelenting daily 'speed' work in January will fuck you up proper.

  • BMMF speak 100% truth here

  • I've tried telling him that beer and relaxed weekend pootles will improve his ability no end, but he just won't listen.

sounds sound enough. I just miss being able to gently cruise at 22, or do a quick 60 miles and thinking nothing of it, so trekking up to the park and back, and doing a bit of seeing-what-I-can-hold-without-killing-myself seemed a sensible enough way to get back to where I was, or at least provide the option of being up to clocking up some gentle countryside miles. I currently doubt whether I can even get out to the big wide green and back without knackering myself.

This time last year I was commuting ~30 miles a day and doing bits round kent on the odd dry weekends, this year I'm not even commuting, and I assume it was the intense commutes throughout winter that got me reasonably nippy for the sunny fun times, so it's that I'm trying to emulate. Not that I ever really know what I'm doing.

/also, just trying to pass the time and feel like I'm doing something

  • If you've got the time Tom, why not just head out to the country instead of looping around?

  • Good to see this thread getting bumped! Are you doing this early o'clock tommy? I'd love to get some laps in but it's dark(ish) when I get to work and night time when I leave.

  • If you've got the time Tom, why not just head out to the country instead of lolloping around?

    Yes.
