Meh.. I believed the weatherman when he said it wasn't going to be wet.
Cycled in with my inappropriate bike anyway. -

It's not going to rain tonight, therefore I'm all over this. Might actually ride out of town instead.

Managed a quick laps before the light failed. As promised lots of fun and games to be had with sketchy bike handling triathletes.
Managed a 29.92 km/h average (lets call it 30kph I caught alot of lights!)
Still not back to my best but felt alot less painful than recently.
http://goo.gl/maps/B7XJNThe Hub closing at 7pm on the dot is annoying.. unless I can find somewhere else to store my bag - winter training is off.

I've been missing this recently, been a bit sick. Is there a list like RP Laps but more akin to the Hour Record?
If not, I'll start:
dbr - 36.7km (Geared, my brother's Strava)

Surely it should only count for solo efforts? i've been dragged around under the hour by 6pt, but couldn't do it on my own

Yeah, probably. I suppose I can't prove I was pulling him around.
I was.

Please no Regents list. The traffic lights make any times even more meaningless than the Richmond ones, and it's not what this thread is (was) about. Thanks.

I just started to post my stats to prove I actually there - they're not impressive enough for any peacocking. A good OR time is all about getting in the right group.. the lights equal themselfs out - so long as none of us are ever running any??
Going home to pickup your fancy carbon geared roadbike cant hurt either.

I couldn't believe my eyes some of the manuveres they pulled like under taking and racing like there wasn't any cars or nodders on the road.

"No sleeves, can't ride, don't want to either"

I loved how when/if they stopped at the lights they insisted on going to the front and then took an age to get clipped in when the lights turned back to green..while swerving all over the road.

Sounds like last night was a bit shit then. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I'm glad I used my turbo instead of going outside...

Never go in the evening that park gets nuts. Go in the morning!

I've had a few successful evenings there over the last month, catching the same group of 3 riders who are ever so slightly stronger than me but not so much that I can't join in, good training doing 6+ laps with proper chainganging with people like that.

Wanted to make tomorrow night my last Regent park hour of power for the year but the weather looks pony so probably wont see it again until 2014 sadly :(

But - basically yes ^ this. Pointless.
The only Regents segment worth looking at is the one that runs from the south east turn, round to the mosque - and even then you're still playing the Zoo traffic light lottery (and also the 'stupid ped- argh parked cars!' lottery on the road island just before the right turning over the canal). -

shame I managed to make it to a grand total of none of these this summer. It's a lot harder for me now I've moved south and will probably get harder when I move studios from west to east too.

Best time for running a folded Brompton around the park?
Meh, the rain came so I didn't bring an appropriate bike.
