Mixed feelings about my efforts tonight. Started early lapping on my own, think i did 1 lap and Nathan joined me for a couple at a steady 17ish chatting then headed in to meet the others at 6.30. I carried on and ended up tagging onto the back of Michael and some random guy on a yellow TT bike for a stonker of a lap at 23mph+ but this burned my 74gi's out and i struggled round another solo lap. The result, 5 laps at 19mph average. Bit gash but then again commuter gearing and a full courier bag never helps!
Edit, scratch that, 19 was my average overall speed, moving speed was ~20. Win.

Derny session was good tonight. I think we may have stolen Tom from you lot.

feeling suprisingly good about this evening, despite playing the catch up and not catch up game, i managed around 21/20mph (from my slightly frazzled commuter computer) for most of it. Did a few laps with nathan, but kept losing everyone at those bloody traffic lights.

What the hell happened to Hoke and Xander? A pleasure catching up with Matt before doing a fair few laps drafting Laner. Tried to share the strain but I was too slow for him! Eased off, did a few on me todd, joined heythrop for one or two then decided enough was enough. Did one clockwise lap to cool off then headed home. Was an hour in all so happy. Should have said hello to the peeps I don't know, but was too busy fucking about trying to clip in road shoes with mtb cleats. I was the guy on the black Leader with stripy top. Evening.

I had training for most of the day in Staines, where they provided food.
But not much food.
Got to Regents Park and I had nothing in the tank, did one lap and headed home.

Really pleased with tonight's effort.
Doing solo tt practice, kept a good pacing and managed to grind it out in that fun head wind on the east side.
Just shy of 22mph average.

This was pretty special:
Er, excuse me, this makes it look like I didn't turn up.
I did and this was the result:
Well, that was fun. Did two laps before I turned into a human snot ball and went home. Sometimes it is better to admit you're ill and not HTFU. I think I definitely feel worse for that :(
So I probably shouldn't have bothered, but at least it shows I'm no bedwetter (they were my official leaving drinks, and I did flounce)!
I think this put me off HoP, I'm fairly sure I've not been back since...

That excuse has had a good innings. Nearly a year you've been using the 'I've still not shaken this cold' line. I think I've heard it more than most...

That cold only lasted a few weeks :(
The thing I've had recently isn't a cold. I'd swap it for a standard cold like a shot. It's a thing that lives up your nose for months and produces snot, which instead of going out the front goes back down inside you. The doctor didn't actually tell me what it was called.
A gremlin?

Still, if it's getting tired I'll just have to find a new one.

So who actually met up and rode tonight?
It doens't look like I missed much. Has it been decided, will this be the Tuesday night hour of power from now on?

Good evening. Grabbed a few laps behind laner then struggled at the front (which incidentally is the same as second man for me given my size) noticed that despite my own and someone else's (rainbow jersey) efforts he was happier at his own pace so kept on until hayfever grabbed my lungs and u agreed to wait a lap... Only that lap never came.
Still, first outing on the 50mm cravings and they whistle like the wind pat 20 mph but I still don't trust them...

Also: went straight out for a night in Chelsea. I'm absolutely battered as I've not eaten yet.
