Is this primarily for homosexuals or can bi boys come too?
Hang on, you're not bringing panniers, are you?

Saw a dude doing laps on roller skis tonight, with a tyre tied to his waist dragging on the road behind him for resistance.
Everyone else needs to HTFU and take a leaf out of his book.

What's the surface like there now, Sean? Is all the hassle sorted?
-
• #2980
Yep, it's all good on the outer circle.

I neglected to mention, as tradition dictates there will be one (1) warm-up lap. Whether you count this as part of your eight or not is up to you.

He was out last night as well :(

You fancy coming along for a play tomorrow, dubs?
-
• #2984
I was going to come out and play tomorrow, but the new bike I was building has reached an impasse, so I'll go home and sulk on the turbo instead.
-
• #2985
Why don't you ride on that other bike you spent so long building up? The one that works?
-
• #2986
Or the other one that also works?

Cross bike= Cern have asked me to not use it as the mass disturbs their experiments
Cannondale= I'd have to wear lycra
Klein= I cannot attach the cassette as the fucking lockrings changed by 1mm at some point in the past. -

I don't see those first two as legitimate. But it is nothing to me; we'll be riding in the evening sun and you'll be sweating away indoors - each to their own :)

In reality- I have two turbo sessions to do this week, and I am running out of week.
Need to do a 3 minute interval run, and a pyramid interval run- and the London Classic on Sunday.
So- I want Saturday as my rest day.

There is no chilling allowed. It's not an hour of power if you're not powering. If you say chilling to mask the fact that you've been too busy partying all winter to maintain a semblance of fitness I'd rather you were honest about it and expressed a desire to improve instead of attempting to mask things.
Sheesh, I said was chilling because I just got back from a long holiday involving no bicycles and my fitness is relatively poor. There's no sense in going 100% straight away otherwise my legs will turn into jelly and most likely have made the experience counter productive.
My intention is to do a few laps at everyone else's pace and then most probably drop off in an act of self preservation, setting the preface for subsequently faster HoP's in the future.
Is this against the rules?

• #2992
Nope. I just wanted to hear you say it.

• #2993
See you tomorrow

• #2994
Yup. Sunshine smiles and a permanent tailwind. Promise.
-
• #2995
Yup, 23 degrees, pain and suffering. Promise.
ftfy ;)

I'm waiting on times from a couple of hipsters regarding buying my crabon wheels tonight, so depending what they come back with i may be in, or out. But i will be trying to detour them to post HoP.
Will be fixed if in :-)

Argh out again! Cousin's pre-wedding shenanigan thing that I am demanded to be at despite the fact that he refuses to even be civil towards me.
Also I was quite confident that I could maintain a 20+mph average for 8 laps if in a group considering my half winter training but my legs are not used to the 35 mile commute just yet, so probably for the best that I'm out this week.
How the fuck do you fit in intervals in your week when you can't even factor in a rest day? It seems counter-intuitive to take the train one day so I can go home and kill myself on the turbo but I guess it's what I need to do.

Argh the gears on my bike were skipping all over the place this morning. Think it must be cable stretch as its only a week old installation. Will try and tinker with it before I arrive

unscrew the barrel adjuster on the rear derailleur a couple of turns.

ya, will give this a go. Also, and I realize this isn't the thread to ask but i know tom is rocking sram doubletap so shall ask anyway. With the front derailleur, when on the small ring, is one click supposed to shove it onto the big and the next click the "trim position" to stop it rubbing on smallest sprocket at the rear? I don't understand this whole trimming business.
Hmmm, well it does say gears...
