As i say.. I'm only dicking around doing 1 min intervals up the drag. Bright orange VC Elan kit. Say say hi...

I've got to do a pyramid interval session tonight- 30 seconds max up to 5 minutes at max, then back to down to 30 seconds.
Lunacy to do this on the road I know, but tempted nonetheless.
-

Your 5 minute effort will be disrupted by at least one set of traffic lights, and if you're there later, filtering around the two queues of traffic too.
-
• #2807
Yes, that was rather my point.
Turbo it is, but the road is a bit more interesting.
-
• #2808
You said it was lunacy to do it on the road, I said it was not possible.
Go out and do some tarmac whooshing. It's better for your soul, even if it won't be as good for your legs. -

I did an hour and a half of Zone 2 after work yesterday, and fun it was- tonight is all about suffering, and sweating, lots and lots of sweating.

Heading there at about 6.30 for some laps. Not yet sure how fast they will be.

This is fun also in my book..

I only do it for the suffering.
-
• #2813
I'm just not sure that my suffering is sufficiently epic
-
• #2814
As long as it hurts.

Sumo: don't think I've met you before but interested to see your carbon wheels... fancy some lappage?
too late now, I went on a mission to buy some jeans and starting drinking.

Still working, hadn't actually realised it was Thursday but I'm on the winter road bike and was intending on some laps this evening. My employers need to understand that they're getting in the way of my riding bikes.

Brave overtook me while I was driving.

Is there a decent book out there to read up about this crazy stuff? I was thinking about buying the Time Crunched Cyclist book. Would that cover it?

Damo recommended me the time crunched cyclist and I learnt a lot but if after that one you read racing and training with a power meter -that adoubletap recommended me - you learn a lot more

^^helloooooooooo! Sorry, I never really recognize anyone.
I was having a steady spin on 74". That place is so much more fun on a medium(ish) gear; when you're riding solo anyway.
