HoKe on here. I screamed at him when we went past, he smiled back. Something of a legend after he beasted it at the nocturne.

I strained a muscle in my leg almost straight away and limped through a couple of laps on my own before giving up. not my finest hour of power.

deepest I've been in the pain cave ever.
Surely this can't be true.
I came late and just caught 6pt on his last lap. Sounds like I missed a fast one...

Oh and I forgot the guy on the trek that I said hello to that had just been pedalling in spain. Top chap and strong rider. And a very quick scottish lady too.
Just had a marvellous steak frites. Great way to wrap up the evening.

Two laps of this last night. Only says 500feet of climbing per lap but the back half of the ride is always rolling taking it out of your legs. Was a little fucked by the end. Another 100k this weekend (in the midst of heaving drinking for the start of the RWC) and things should start ticking over nicly.
Anyway, it was the first training session for this http://www.arcevents.co.nz/k2cycle/content/?page_id=56
I am aiming for under 6 hours athough I will be starting in the 6 and a half hour group (you need to qualify for the under 6 hour group) with meens I have to fucking fly streight out of the start to catch a faster group. This will not be a fun day, but fuck am I looking forward to it.

good to know you're not slacking down there! that k2 thing sounds ace, having to gain 15 minutes is going to really really hurt.

I am aiming to make up the time on the climbs. I will do a dry-run the weekend before the event to see witch hills in the first quarter I can really push it on. Hopefully after that I can sit in a bunch and recover for a while. Eather that or sit in no mans land for the most painfull day of my life.

Surely this can't be true.
It was the stitch that hurt, it drowned out all pain from my legs.

Good to meet you buddy - till next time!
Loved the pain cave. OSR could probably hear me f'ing an c'ing behind him every time we took the bottom corner. But hung on - if only that. Looking forward to seeing y'all next week. - American dude

just remembered as I was heading home I saw a chap on a kona and he was flying, yet barely turning the pedals.. I had a chat and he was rocking a GI of 110 for a commuter bike, no track action.
very impressive

Hi. What were you wearing/riding? I don't remember schooling anyone. I had a stitch for the second half hour, deepest I've been in the pain cave ever. Enjoyed it though.
Track bike look carbon fork early on in the evening i was on your wheel as you first caught the bunch tried to follow you at 27 but the spins started to kill my cardio so i had to drop to the back.

Got dropped twice. Eventually fell in with a Dunwich rider on a Willier and kept a nice 22mph Ave for a few laps the he ramped it up to 24-5mph and I discovered I underestimated my HR Max by about 5.
Was fixed at about 72inches, don't bring a knife to a gun fight.
