^ Campagnoloists?
Was a good one last night - Google Tracks definitely lies, as backed up by Cupcakes.

It needed to be rotated about another 10 degrees forwards in the end. It was fine in a horizontal forearms 'tuck', but a bit awkward from a more relaxed vantage point. I can actuate the lever across the it's fullest range of sound pressure now. [/more important than wannabe racers extending their commute in a circular fashion]

I have been asked to not finish the project I'm working on too quickly, so I've just read through the old pages of the thread to fill some time. I am approximately 1mph faster than I was this time last year. Is that a reasonable gain?

Who cares? (too many variables anyway due to nature of circuit)
-
• #2307
I care! (fair enough)

I now see the error in my ways, you've opted for finger modulation. Unconventional but so obvious when you think about it.

I prefer to keep my thumbs wrapped around the bars, and at a push, I can still operate the RH brake whilst dinging.

Tomorrow? I'll be geared and in the pain cave.

Got some family stuff to attend to. Can't guarantee a show :(
-
• #2312
I'll be there. Did a few laps last night and have concluded my legs are basically still fuckered from last week though.

• #2313

Just frankenfied my Leader (Langster front wheel on there until I get my new one from Varno) and also put a set of bulls on. Tempted to have a blast up Regent's now...
-
• #2315
Yep, heading off now. Laps in the dark!
-
• #2316
Possibly in for tomorrow as 6pTom is unable to make it. Ill be fixed 48x17 if I can get out of the office.

Ended up being a half hour of power...
1-3 laps were 8 mins each solo, 4th lap was 6 1/2 mins thanks to some guy on a BMC in pink T-Mobile kit sharing the strain, but ultimately beating me after a downhill sprint. Had to source the park's drinking fountain after that! Out for tomorrow as I'm off to a mate's gig. Will make it one day though, promise! -

...some guy on a BMC in pink T-Mobile kit sharing the strain...
I think Rich collared him last week for a little chat, tried to convince him to get on here.
Also a small possibility I'll be out tomorrow night after all, will know by about 2pm. Sorry JAMIE. -

I'm working from 3 so will try and do some earlier laps.

I'm usually there most nights doing an hour or so - apart from when my bike starts making weird creaking noises (took the whole thing apart, BB etc couldn't fathom, started putting back together ohh chain ring bolts undone good job I spent £20 on a new BB /facepalm) classic steel Fausto Coppi (red, black, yellow paint job)condor cap under helmet, looping round the outside ring then cut through onto inner, with afterwork rucksack for the obligatory extra 10kg in it just for fun...will keep eye out see if I see any folks

do the gates to regents park get closed at night?
Yeah, sometime between 11 and midnight. One (Hanover I think) gets left open for access.

Despite my epic rear wheel falling out fail this morning, I'm going to give this a go. Fixed, 71gi. I'm going to suck, slow group anyone?

My mate and I are keen to give this a go. He's geared and I'm somewhat undergeared (48x17). Do you still meet at 6.30 at the gates opposite York Bridge and do inner circle laps as per the first post of this thread? Would be great if we could join today.
fucking campanologists. thursday night hour of bellringing >>>
