Carbon road bike may have been temporarily abandoned after riding the Dolan around my hood at the weekend, it needs more use and i feel regents park is a good place whilst the track is out of action...

If you're after pointlessly bling front wheels to run into the ground on the road, have a look for Mavic Cosmic Carbones too. It's a standard rim with a carbon fairing, so you get the practicality of alu braking surface and clincherness with a little bit of shiny depth.
Rode in on the track bike today. It felt wrong, very wrong. But totally lovely.

Was it brakless for the ride in?

nah, stole the bars and front brake from the bowery to get me in in one piece, and had to use the trispok and disc because I didn't want to wreck my supersonics on the OKR. it's in town for a photo shoot (so I had the ellipses and deda drops on my back to convert it to track glory upon arrival, meh) but it's been postponed to wednesday, so all for nothing. just means I get to commute on it again then though...

Haha, love it! Just looked up the cosmics, pricey no? Altho maybe a front only on eBay wouldn't be too bad.

I might eBay some cheapo carbon forks and could always put the front wheel off the purple bike on there, dunno if all of this will be in time for this Thursday but we'll see...

Never really ridden in Regents, whats the surface like? Flat, slightly rolling?

one drag, one minor downhill roll, one headwind, one tailwind. sometimes you can combine bits of those.

BBC (not exactly the most accurate but there you go) reckon heavy rain during the day, brightening up in the evening. Apparently.

Gutted i'm going to have to miss this again due to last minute work trip to aber-fucking-deen.

The Dolan should be ready by then too, oh well there's always next week...

^^ah but the damage has been done! wanted to give the Look a good thrashing as this is the last week I can conceivably commute on it due to bike storage arrangements at work changing. instead, I'm on the fixed and I'm miserable. I do, however, have a reasonable quota of shittiness and self loathing that needs to be worked out of my system, and the shitfixed is the right tool for the job. If I can still walk tomorrow, I did it wrong.

If it dries up I shall attend. I have one hot lap to do! My bike computer might be broken tho. yesterday while climbing up hampstead it said I was going 62mph......maybe the 27 was wrong!
