- If a fast group of riders signal that they're stopping for lights,
Just curious, how does a group signal this? I'm unlikely to ever see peleton action up here in Hull, but it'd be nice to know the form so that I can recognise it when I see it.

It's not an exact science, but you get the picture(s).

On a more positive note, nice seeing Jung and TT Tom out there tonight. Didn't spot anyone else I know, but a few single-geared contraptions here and there. I felt okay in the end :)

I don't know if you're on here, geared topless rider with big headphones riding around Regents Park around 7 to 7.30pm
He was still there at 8ish, I passed him as he was doing what I can only imagine was practicing victory salutes. No shame.
He had a good tan though.
Lots of slevless out there tonight.

I was with two guys for a bit - lad without a helmet on a Nago and a grupetto rider on fixed (ti frame I think). They on here? Thanks for the laps if so. I was on the planet x nano light.

Ah, that was you. It was Jung on the 'nag, and me on the Burls 'Tixed'. Jung was just finishing, and I was just getting going.
Nice to 'meet' you :D

Aha. I pulled off after 5 laps when my lunchtime fish and chips started repeating on me and I couldn't close a gap up the drag. That and my inexplicable decision to wear a shell resulting in over heating. Bad choices.
So that is Jung. I often see him round Outer circle. Nice to meet you. I aim to make Thursday night a more regular fixture.

I felt like hammered scat yesterday. Most bizarre.
Hi TV - definitely shared a lap or 2 with you in the past.
BMMF, pleasure as always.
Disappointing not to see JD on his crazy new TT bike.

Awesome. I haven't ridden >70GI since the last time I did laps so should be hilarious
I don't know if you're on here, geared topless rider with big headphones riding around Regents Park around 7 to 7.30pm, but if you are, please consider these points:
If a fast group of riders signal that they're stopping for lights, and moreso if there are cars ahead already stopped, and even moreso if pedestrians have started to cross, stopping yourself would be the more sociable decision. Riding through, and on the opposite side of the road at times, is incredibly intimidating for those crossing, and disconcerting for everyone else who's stopped.
I'd avoid drafting slow commuters, and then darting back and forth behind them indecisively, even nearly undertaking them. It's also pretty anti-social behaviour.
You're obviously strong enough to chug round some laps, but why not work on acceleration or whatever by taking the opportunity to power away from traffic lights after you've politely waited?
If waiting at lights is a complete no-no for you, it's less than an hour along the Thames to get to Richmond Park for 7 mile laps that are much more flowing than Regents Park. Check it out.
