Disappointing first hour of power for me due to combination pizza hut (seat height) and taco bell (left cleat position) problems. Seems I managed to sort the worst of it by dropping my seat about 1mm which is annoying.

Anyway, bring on next week.

That was a rad half hour. Enjoyed drifting into various partnerships, starting with Friday26th, and ending with STE5. Smashed it round in 79" :D

Witnessed the most amazing evasive maneouvre from STE5 as some 4x4 twat slung their door wide open into his path at the last second (actually glanced his hand), followed by me having to do pretty much the same move to avoid piling into STE5's rear end. Exciting :/

Well that was one of the better ones, and the first circles for a while where I managed to avoid descending into a defeatist shame spiral after the first two laps. It felt good to dig in and share a bit of the effort, at least until whoever I was chumming along with gave it the beans fucked off into the distance. :)

Don't know how fast I was going, I stopped taking along my Garmin in an attempt to rid myself of demoralising statistics.

Must stop snacking on jumbo oats, they give me *chronic *wind.

Great ride tonight. Thanks to Matt for dragging me around for half the laps! We managed to ride with almost everyone for a few seconds at least. Including BMMF who DAS'd us as he blew past. And agreed, Tom's wheels sound awesome.

I don't actually remember what happened in the fraction of a second between seeing the door right in front of me and feeling it brush against my left knuckle. Phew.

It was a good blast round the park, I regret not riding harder now (though I mightn't have thought that in the park yesterday).

Unless it's DOMS from the deadlifts I did on Wednesday, my glutes are telling me we rode fairly hard [/knock yourself out, innuendo merchants].

It was a very good spin round lastnight! And to echo serk's post above - thanks for dragging me round half of the laps! I suggest we swap odds/evens next time, that last lap looked like it hurt!
