@ Skully - Could you explain what's good about coriander, I don't get it.
Aesthetics are hard to explain. I like it. I really really do. It only works in small amounts. I know what you mean about it being a bit soapy. But I love it.

Agree on small amounts, just can't stand the stalks and as you say small amounts are key, coriander seeds on the other hand don't bother me at all really.

Really? Just Rasa N16 or will any of the other restaurants do as well, Indian food is another thing I don't really get so might be willing to give this a go.

Coriander is an acquired taste. Def. only small amounts. Try it sprinkled on a hot bowl of Pho (vietnamese noodle soup) preferably the raw beef version with lemon squeezed on top. good.
Unfortunately the only place in london that nearly gets it right is Song Que on Kingsland Road.

I think South Indian food is the best Indian food, so might be a good starting-point. That said, some people simply don't like aromatic food because aromatic herbs and spices like coriander don't work for them.

Coriander was never an acquired taste for me--I loved it from the word go. Definitely one of the greatest herbs used in cooking, but as I say, it just doesn't work for some people. (I've only met one other person so far who didn't like coriander.)
